GRAND OPENING - BLASEBALL-SPONSORING ALPHA! [Expansion #8]

Hello, Dog Fans and Cat Conspirators!

I think I've been awake for over 24 hours now, so I'm going to keep this short:

1) Dog Airport Game is OFFICIALLY IN ALPHA! As of today, we are Airport Complete, with 6 stunning open-world venues to adventure through in your journey across the cosmos. And, they're only going to get better as we fill them up with a metric ton of Really Cool Stuff, and fix issues we find over time. More polish, more usability, and more dogs - it's a bright future ahead of us and we wouldn't be at this point without all of you. Thank you!

2a) Dog Airport Game is sponsoring the cultural event known as Blaseball! In case you haven't heard of it, Blaseball is a massively multiplayer browser game taking the internet by storm, about collectively deciding the fate of a fictional sport that has quickly gone from pseudo-Baseball to a fight against literal gods. Like, the Charleston Shoe Thieves fought a peanut god this weekend. There was a boss fight with health bars and everything. It's some truly next-level stuff - and the developers have collaborated with us to add an item to Blaseball that could uh, fundamentally change the way the game plays.

2b) ...You read that right. We've added decimal scoring to sports. I cannot wait to watch this all explode, and it's an honor to work with Blaseball developers The Game Band to make it happen.

3) SPEAKING OF COLLABORATIONS: a little piece of Blaseball has found its way into Dog Airport Game, too! Sports Dog needs an investor for a brilliant new idea. A sport founded on dogs, peanuts, and blood. The perfect sport. He calls it: Blasedog. If you can find him, and get him the funding he needs, he'll reward you with a cool item!
An opportunity to become clean.

4) ...We aren't going to talk about Cage Dog.

It's weird... Cognitively, I know we've just hit a giant milestone. We have all our airports! The systemic gameplay works really well, and you can journey across the universe, from one end to another. A bunch of content already exists, and we are in the rare position of having months to just keep adding content and cool stuff, on a proven foundation. That said, a sensation of victory hasn't come along. All I can see is the amount of work that remains to be done.

I want to make this ridiculous thing so good. As good as it deserves to be. I guess all I can do is keep working to get it to that point, one day at a time.
