EARLY ACCESS - Is the Phineas and Ferb Revival Necessary?

I remember hearing Phineas and Ferb was coming back, getting really excited for about an hour, and then quickly tiring of hearing about it in later months. And I felt that same sense of apathy watching the trailer for the REVIVAL of one of my favorite shows of all time, and that was weird. Why bring this show back and have it do the same thing an in-universe year later, rolling back all the character development for Candace and Doof? Why not set it during the school year or with their kids or during college? Why not change things if we have to bring this show back? Frankly, I'm not excited about this revival. I'm sure it'll have some good jokes, and I doubt the writing or characters have lost their touch, but I just feel like I'm ready for other shows from Disney and in general now. Why not let Gen Alpha have their own iconic, humor-forming, generation-defining cartoon that they show their kids with all the excitement they could have? Let stories end! Let things change! All that to say, I agree completely with this video.
