36 NEW Science Packs??? // Science Galore part 4: Mine 150000 GREEN rocks JUST to get started?!

Hey everyone :)

Here's Science Galore part 4!

I've been trying a new method to produce the next warptorio video. Video quality should be better as I'm recording targeted lossless sections again (with Fraps), instead of recording the entire playthrough with streamlabs (which already compresses the video). Fraps comes with it's own issues though, like not being able to record voice audio on a seperate audio track, making it impossible to split off voice in editing (so for example, I can't "move" my voice around to make a seemless voice line over a seamless video clip). I'm trying sort of a mix of semi-scripted voice during live play, where I just create tons of saves (before and after each clip), and record each clip until I get both gameplay and voice right. This is a lot more difficult for recording, but hopefully will give me an easier editing experience. So, 8-5 will be a tryout of this style :)

For the microphone, I for now I just returned to the original default preset which I have been using a low-gain, finetuned variant from all this time. IDK still why the quality changed so much since I moved to this location, but it did. All default presets come with high gain setting, which often causes voice clipping unless you're really careful. But I guess for now it's better than the muffled sound of seemingly speaking through a thick blanket or smt haha.

Anyway, enjoy the episode

Michael

Maybe regular OBS (Not streamlabs OBS) would work better for you. My streamer friend switched because it has much better audio controls

Maybe, but this feels like an issue that should be fixed just at the source

I'll give it a look. I mainly switched because it's less of a drain on system resources which is welcome with the current <30UPS warptorio playthrough, but losing the possibility to record audio tracks seperately is not great.

Yay, more to watch! Maybe something like https://www.lalal.ai/ could help with splitting your voice-over audio out for easier editing?

Fraps is still around!? Another recording option might be through GeForce Experience?
