SAFE TO WATCH FOR EVERYONE! How many Warps to beat Warptorio? // part 7 - a 2k (2124) SPM schizofrenic belt-bot-base

Hey everyone! After the finale of the 100% evolution series (which aires today on youtube), here's the finale of my Warptorio practice run!

I'd say this finale is FAIRLY SAFE TO WATCH WITHOUT SPOILING THE FUTURE YOUTUBE SERIES from:

3:05:05 (the whole old base is deleted at this point, and we're just gonna make the endgame build)

or alternatively from

6:24:28 (SWITCHING ON THE ENDGAME 2kSPM BASE and EXPLAINING THE WHOLE BUILD IN MUCH MORE DETAIL THAN THERE WILL BE IN THE YOUTUBE SERIES)

From the above 2 timestamps, the video is watchable for everyone as a stand-alone video, as this is basically the post-game: we have deleted the whole old base we used to get through the game, and this post-game 2kSPM has nothing to do with the trajectory/strategy used to beat the game, and is just showing of really lol.

For the design of the base, I decided on trying to make 2 individual 1kSPM bases: a belt-based, no-bots-allowed 1kSPM in the top half, and a bot-based, no-belts-allowed 1kSPM in the bottom half. This decision made things SO much harder (compared to the easy 2kSPM botbase) , and even >35h into the design process it still was far from certain if it would be possible at all. So, when I ultimately DID manage to fit everything on the factory floor, it was a huge relief, and "only" 2 handfuls of hours of troubleshooting later, the base works exactly as intended, with 2 distinct 1062 SPM bases running at 100.000000% capacity, accurate to the last game tick! Amazing! As you can probably tell, I'm quite proud of this build, as I not only managed to fit the entire builds inside the factory floor and somehow make it work correctly, I also integrated a whole bunch of cool micro-designs in the blueprint, like a no-circuit-network Mechanical Sushi Belt, Color Coded Science Inserters (yes, that means burner inserters for military science, which I didn't skip), using both basic and advanced oil processing in 2 seperate oil refineries, a central divided assembler area with balanced inputs and outputs from both the bot-side and the belt-side of the base, and more.

I DID also fil the entire design process, which is another couple dozen hours split over 6 videos: Video 1 will cover the whole planning phase, video 2/3/4/5 is the actual design process, and video 6 is switching the initial design on, having multiple things fail, and then repeatedly troubleshoot dozens of issues until it all works. Each video will have lots of timestamps/chapters so you can skip ahead and browse around to the interesting parts. As this will probably be interesting to fewer of you, I will not drag this out, and just post all 6 videos in one single post next week, but if you prefer to watch the blueprint design process BEFORE watching the end result presented in this video, here's the link to video 1, the planning phase: https://youtu.be/u9wNHsaUnPo .

Anyway, I was gonna talk about other things, but this post is long enough as it is already, so enjoy this video and see you next week :)

Michael

Comments

Yeah lol, it's because of the multiple-of-5-6-5-12-7-7-science-assemblers thing (accounted for warptorio's speed and productivity bonus)

Exactly 2124 spm, eh? 😃
