By the time you read this, I'll be in Chicago to attend Anime Midwest. I wish I could say I was going as a vendor, but I couldn't grab a table. An attendee I shall be.
Anyway, it's a new month, so let me fill you all in on what's happening.
WIEDERGEBURT: Legend of the Reincarnated Warrior: Volume 12 is on pre-order and shall be released into the world on July 19.
Volume 12 passes the halfway point of Act III. There are just two more volumes after this before the act ends.
I'm still writing Man Made God 005. I'm wondering if I'll finish this by the end of this month, or if it will go into next month. I suspect this volume will break the 100,000-word mark. MMG has always contained longer volumes than my other series.
I've been looking into having chapters of Severing Time & Space narrated as an audio drama. My desire is to have each character given their own voice actor. I'm currently in talks with Amber Lee Connors about having her studio do this for me. She recently got back to me on how much such an endeavor is going to cost.
This is what she quoted me.
Chapters for Severing Time & Space are roughly between 2,000 and 3,000 words. Volume 1 comes out to approximately 100,000. Voice actors can typically narrate 9,500 words per hour, meaning they can turn one volume into an audio drama for about $5,400 to $6,000.
I'm currently not making enough on Patreon to create this audio drama, but my hope is that more patrons will join eventually. If you want to help me reach the "Turn Severing Time & Space into an audio drama" goal, convince your friends to subscribe. If I can reach this goal, I plan to hire Amber Lee Connors and her studio to narrate at least four chapters a month (one chapter per week).

2022-07-06 14:06:07 +0000 UTCAndrea is so busy there's no way she could do this. I've even asked her to narrate a book for me and she turned me down. She's already got a huge list of authors she works with. I doubt she could add another, especially for something this involved.
