Yawning Portal: Goblin Fireplace
Added 2022-01-31 20:50:06 +0000 UTCNow we have the second most well known part of the yawning portal: The goblin fireplace. We've got along with it, some fireplace logs that I recommend printing in resin if you intend to use them, and the whole thing can be lit up with a 3mm flickering led.
I get frustrated with the leds that use coin cell batteries for a variety of reasons, but a big one is just not much power. This can take a whole 9 volt battery in the chimney, so you could probably leave it running for weeks. This does mean that any led you use needs a resistor, and that you'll need to do some soldering if you want this effect. The fire itself was done using a hot glue gun and then covered in a transparent yellow paint.
I can provide more photos if people need them for recreating this.

This seems to be intended for use with separate walls, any chance of a wall-on-tile version, or even a standalone fireplace + hearth that we could just stick in front of any wall, on any kind of floor?
