Minor update
Added 2017-08-11 17:13:27 +0000 UTCAfter releasing the ruined diagonals, I received a query on facebook if there were construction kit files for the cut stone diagonals. I had made them a long time ago, but never actually uploaded them. So I've updated the Cut Stone Diagonal thing to add ckit files. While I was at it, I also had tudor files for the same thing, so I uploaded those as well to the Tudor Diagonal thing. Now the bad news there is I wasn't doing openlock at the time, so there's no openlock or openlock magnetic bases, though you can create a square tile with a diagonal wall cutting across it and use any of the openlock square bases.
If I can find a quick moment in my schedule, I'll bang out those bases and add them as well, but not charge the patrons for it since it's a minor update.

I'm getting the hang of blender... slowly... I managed to UV unwrap a file, open it in photoshop, add my bumb maps, import it into blender, and then all it gave me was a pretty greyscale textured render. I know the software is capable it is just so damn complicated.

2017-08-11 19:46:17 +0000 UTCOne other note, when dealing with complex stl files, openscad regularly fails booleans. I suggest using blender for this. Doing a boolean in blender isn't super tough. I actually have a home rolled openforge extension for blender that I call unionize that lets you pick one object, and then run a series of unions or intersections or differences on against as many other objects as you want. Real time saver, I should document and release that too.

2017-08-11 19:44:39 +0000 UTCBecause I have textures on my bases, it's actually two parts for a union. I add in a block surrounding the hole that makes sure that none of the walls are too thin on the print, so there's a boolean union and then a boolean difference. So not a problem, but does have a little more complexity. I also have the positives and negatives for the magnets. Main thing for releasing it is that the organization of it is just messy right now, so I would need to spend a few hours cleaning it all up to be releasable in a form that's usable for people not me. One advantage is that I've removed the supports that Printable Scenery has in their setup, so I could add those back in as a variant for people who want it.

2017-08-11 19:42:02 +0000 UTCCan I suggest that you arrange the openlock portions as positives and send them out, so that anyone with openscad can do a boolean difference of any 2 files? one file being the "holes" where the clips normally lay/lie?
