- While caverns got upvoted a lot on the survey, Lifeburn on thingiverse has been going gangbusters on creating a nice cavern set, and I really suggest you all check it out. It's not OpenForge 2.0 compatible, but frankly I'm not sure if I would have found a design that both feels as organic and works with OpenForge 2.0 bases in my own cavern design. It's likely that any cavern design would be 1.0 style no matter what. I think it's probably better for me to focus on tiles that don't have someone already actively working on a high quality set. I'm considering not prioritizing caverns for now given the excellent work he's doing, but I want to hear back from you all to make sure you agree.
- The wall construction kit went live today for internal wall tiles. I'll throw together a similar thingiverse project for external wall tiles, just to track the parts in a similar way, but I won't make that a patreon release, because it's not an appreciable amount of work. I'll include a link to it the next time I do an external wall tile release.
- I'm going to try an experiment over the next few months. I'm going to try and design a complete tavern and inn. The goal is to make every tile that one would need for that structure. There are some bits where there's no point in me recreating the great work of other designers, but I want to be able to give you some more complete uses of the tiles while still focusing on making sure all the pieces are modular and useful in a variety of designs. Not every release will be focused on this, but I'll likely be aiming for most of my work to be towards the end of being able to build a complete setting piece.

You could gain some inspiration on the tavern from printable scenery I have printed the tavern personally and liked the overall exterior. I don't mean copy obviously just inspiration.

2016-06-23 17:17:56 +0000 UTCI agree, if there are already parts for caverns that look good, there's no sense in prioritizing those right now. What would have been nice is if those cavern tiles from Lifeburn had external pieces as well (At least for the corridors). Oh well.. can't have it all

I didn't see those cavern tiles before, but they are great, so I agree that it doesn't make sense for you to put your time and energy into that. The tavern sounds like a fun idea, and more varied wall types for the the customizer too. I'm excited with the direction things are headed.
