Ok: Here is my question, you have a great story line going, and I don't mean to question your plot, but I see a lot of stories where "Kills in a most unpleasant way, to the point of insanity" Have you ever considered something... NOT making the protagonist so desperate that they go for the long shot (and win)? At least a plan for a demise that is pleasant for the antagonist without it being brutally painful? You know... a soft seduction.... Clem thinking this is her lover... going weak and passing out before her plans to "finish her" Just asking :)

well, during the trial, there were a lot of people watching. now, no one sees or hears anything they say to each other. makes sense for him to behave differently.
imagine you were some sort of plot-master with some very grand and convoluted schemes. i bet you'd also be very very careful to not let certain information end up in the wrong heads. so, when there's a lot of people listening you make sure that no one hears anything that could possibly lead to them figuring something out.

Rivenlod: "I'm not a monster."
Jonty, in his head: "excuse me"

I dont get it, why did he tell jonty during the trial well done for surviving the attack, if he intended for him to die in the first place? Feels like hes trying to make jonty go nuts.
