Severance Ep 2x6 Full Reaction!

Geeze…Milchick’s scene in the mirror… that scene earned Tramell Tillman an Emmy. Absolutely riveting! (And not ignoring the little bits of camera work and blocking to make that scene happen.) I agree with the other Kevin below…I think outie Helena is lost. She did a monstrous thing by sleeping with Mark while pretending to be innie Helena. But I think this is a woman who has no chance for just friendship in her life. Most of her interactions we’ve seen have been very cold and isolating. Ironically, maybe her friendliest interactions were the scenes in the second episode of the first season with Milchick, before her operation. This entire episode was a great episode of morality, between Irv and Burt and Fields…but also the idea of a severed person having sex. Obviously, pretending to be someone you’re not, that is definitely sexual assault. But, for instance, is innie Hely having (consensual) sex a form of assault on outie Helena, since the latter has no say on the use of her body? Or Mark, for that matter. Or is Burt potentially having sex with Irv a form of cheating on Fields? He is clearly struggling with it…. Not to mention the two Dylans and their wife. There are no right answers here…the reality doesn’t exist. Relationship confessions? Um… 🤐. I will say, I have been with an age gap both 10 years older, and 10 years younger. Neither were a serious relationship, but…I got something out of both. And honestly, both of those relationships ended far more peacefully and without drama than with people my age, so…idk One last comment about innie Hely being treated like a kid. I think the naming convention at work infantilizes the workers. The Severed workers almost all go by their first name. But every Non-Severed employee is given a “teacher” name. Miss Cobel, Mr. Milchick, etc. The one character who breaks that is Ms. Casey (I find the Ms. an intriguing choice alone).

Man, the disrespect and belittling of Milchick is unending. Never changing his computer screen from "Hello Ms. Kobel"...the microaggression attacks of "hey, no, you actually belong!" by the recannonalized paintings of black Kier history...the browbeating of his speaking language being of a higher status than he is...the FU of replacing his previous position at the company with an 11 year old child...woof And no, Helena wasn't doing "recon" or some sort of "fact finding" mission by accosting Mark Scout at the Chinese restaurant...that was a lonely, disconnected woman trying to form an outie connection with the only prospective other she has gotten close to in any way in her sad, pathetic life. It was a desperate move by an extremely emotionally stunted woman. Which, i believe, is also the motivation for her going down to the severance floor as herself pretending to be her outie. She probably argued it as a fact finding, surveillance mission...but it was really motivated by her being jealous of her innie, having those emotional connections she watched on the videos. And dressing Helly like a baby...it hits so hard knowing she feels that way, and then when discovering the betryal of what her outie did to her body, we see a close up of her taking off her shoes to walk afterwards. Not wanting to walk in someone else's shoes (that was forced on her) And you guys were talking dress codes and such...I think its just Helena's complete disdain for her innie's actual existence at all by saying "she is going to wear basically the same thing thing every day down there, because who cares." They arent real people with real lives or thoughts or emotions anyways.
