1. The painting Irving sees at O&D this episode, the man and woman by the vat in the wherehouse...Irving smiles because its the painting Bert showed him, describing the story in how Keir and his wife met in the ether mill. Irving was making an excuse that he and Bert couldnt get together because fraternization at the workplace was forbidden. Bert showed him that painting to say, if its good enough for Keir, we can meet at work too.
2. In season 1, we saw how Lumon made up stories so different departments would stay away from each other. The series of paintings showing MDR attacking O&D, and then the opposite of o&D attacking MDR. Bert told Irving that some in O&D believed MDR were animals, that they even had pouches to house their larvae. So, this story seems to have even reached Mammalian Nurturables.
3. Yea, the micro aggressive racism with Milcheck in this corporation is gross. But great, story wise! Give credit to the actor who plays Milcheck. All season 1 he kept asking the creators and writers on how his character feels in this world. He asked, does Seth even know he is black? So, they decided to address his interesting questions in season 2.
4. Oh, in season 1 Mark did see Helena outside of work. Just for a brief second. He almost hit her with his car in the parking lot. Its unclear if he recognized her as an Egan. But, even before Trump ran for President, Ivanka Trump was a recognizable figure. And Caroos makes a good point, Helena definitely became more visible with the public outburst she had at the Gala that she had to apologize for.

I think the Goated Crew mentioning pouches is actually in reference to what the O&D crew said in season 1 (they had legends of the MDR crew being parasite aliens with pouches)
