Just now got to watch the entire second episode not just the outro... "The twink twink fruit".. holy shit that sent me. i also wonder if Magellan would care about Ivankov if he knew. Probably. But maybe he wouldn't care because they still ARE in the prison. Ah well.

2025-06-17 17:19:08 +0000 UTCMaybe you’ll be surprised to learn Ivankov actually uses neo-pronouns by Japanese standards that are sadly lost in translation. Everyone uses he/him pronouns when referring to him, Queen is his title, but, when he refers to himself he uses “vatashi” replacing the “w” sound from watashi (わたし). A fan later in the series asked Oda about a different character’s pronouns and the oddity of it, but he responds with, “I’m more surprised you didn’t ask about Ivankov’s pronouns since those I just made up.”
