This man is blind sometimes, he gets slightly irritated, then just puts on blinders the whole time. Like he will let a character get up from a hit, then spend the rest of the episode just griping and miss any enjoyment.

2025-02-13 15:54:13 +0000 UTCi think people are overreacting. All of us know the whole story already so we can appreciate what is happening. I can understand how someone watching for the first time can feel this way about the flashbacks. Even if he still doesn't like it in the end I think thats reasonable too. The flashbacks and what not in One Piece can feel long and abrupt for sure, especially when you are excited to see more of the action and fight conclusion.

2024-06-24 16:34:54 +0000 UTCprior to this backstory, you just go with the motions, but i feel like this backstory makes everything in skypeia make sense and bring it all together, and makes me care more about the shandians and the reason why they have been fighting for so long. hopefully the next episode will provide more clarity

2024-06-23 19:46:05 +0000 UTCThe 400 years is important because this flashback is from 400 years ago... and 400 years before that is 800 years ago. Oh... sorry to hear that. This is my second favorite flashback in the whole series, and I think it ties in perfectly to the entirety of Skypeia and the characters in it. For me it increased the momentum and elevated the ending of Skypeira as a whole. But even putting that aside I like the story on its own, and I love Noland and Calgara.
