Yeeah about that bridge, its the first time it appears in the anime so of course it seems so random. But it was introduced in the very first chapter in the source material. If you remember way back in the first arc when Keiichi and Rena go to the dump site for her treasure hunting, in the VN it specifies that's the bridge they cross over to reach that dump site. Perhaps to try make things easier, try to connect what things are similar across all the arcs, instead of seeing what's different. Other than the fact Takano and Tomitake always die ofc lol.. Try to connect the dots.
