2023-02-25 16:11:26 +0000 UTCI think the dub in the blu ray is translated cause thatโs how I originally watched Your Name. Now the primary way I watch it is the subbed version on Prime Video cause I bought it there.

2023-02-25 14:18:36 +0000 UTCPretty much everything that Makoto Shinkai directs is beautiful. Even though some of his films are misses for me, they are all beautiful in some way. 5 Centimeters Per Second will always be my favorite, because I watched it at just the right time in life. I understand that I am mostly alone in ranking it above Your Name, though. ๐

2023-02-25 08:29:41 +0000 UTCWhen they had no reaction to what was on her hand (and had mentioned earlier that the text on Taki's phone wasn't translated), I was worried about that. I just went back to the CR dub to confirm that they left it untranslated. Shocking oversight. I had only ever seen this subbed from a BD import. Never occurred to me that CR would leave the on screen text untranslated.

2023-02-25 08:19:47 +0000 UTCWow. The dub just straight up didnโt translate what was written on Mitsuhaโs hand at the end of the movie. It was ใใใ which means โI love you.โ
