In the sub Gohan called Buu a retard, that's why Piccolo and the boys had that reaction. And Goku didn't want to fuse with Gohan because it's permament, if they can beat Buu without being permamently fused why should they fuse? Also there's no reason for Vegito to use SSJ3 here, he's way stronger than Buuhan even in base
