Location: The wrestle area hallway

Hey everyone,

I hope you are all doing well!

Over here things are going smooth! I’ve been quite busy, and one of the things I’ve been working on- is a new Hallway, which will connect the vr-room to the changerooms behind it.

I just suddenly realized I needed this Hallway, so you can really choose which wrestling girl you want to visit before the match. (Previously there was just one wrestle girl to visit, so we would jump straight to her changeroom- not needing a Hallway.)

The wrestle area

Now making this Hallway was a bit tricky. And that’s because the Hallway links up with several other rooms, which therfore largely dictate the style of the room. The rooms bvelow are the one’s I’m talking about- and as you can see they all have very distict shapes, colors and patterns.

And then there is the location of the Hallway, which has to be in the outer ring of the wrestle area. So I had to make a curved hallway, which would have doors on the right side, leading to the changerooms -which isn’t a great viewpoint work with. Here I made a map to show the situation.

Making the Hallway

But working with limitations is often how it is. And so with all that in mind, I started making a sketch for this Hallway. And once I had the basic shape down, I started to detail it again. Which lead to this version of the hallway.

Functionally it was complete. But it all felt a bit too boring, and therefore I wanted to add some statues to the outer ring. Something to empasize you are at a wrestle area. And so I added Wresteling Robots! I thought it would be fitting- and a fun setup for more of Keens comments.

But it’s also functional- because this Hallway only gives acces to one changeroom. And so you must click on the far end of the hallway, to get to the next part. Now once you enter the next screen, I will move up the statues one space, so you actually feel that you have moved foreward- instead of ending in just a copy of the room.

Now, the image above isn’t quite done yet. I’m still drawing the final set of robots- and I really have to blend them in the background. And below you can see how far I am with making the robots. The last one is about 50% done now.

And to wrap it up, this is the proces of drawing the Hallway itself.

Well, I hope found it interesting again! Monday I’ll try and finish this Hallway, and then move on to the next part again.
