Love how Durge's defense can retroactively be applied to both himself and his presumed foster mother (ignoring the fact that his deed may have been an early manifestation of his cursed blood) AND the lady lashing out in defense of her cat. As if without realizing, some part of himself is attempting to both accept himself and absolve those that instinctively scorn him of any blame.
