December S4 Update

This month I reached 90% on script #7 from last month's update. It took almost another full DoD script's worth of words to bring it from 65% to 90%. I also completed about 45% of the only script I had yet to start and did not make meaningful progress on any others.
I am considering bumping the total number of episodes down to nine because one of the wads I planned to write about is quite beyond the scope of this show. Writing about it feels foolish, and I would rather not cover it than cover it poorly. This is not much of a loss for the season though, since at least two other episodes are going to reach or exceed an hour in length. I thought ten episodes was a modest goal but I'm also an idiot. Anyway, nine is thematically fitting. There are nine maps in each episode of Doom. How appropriate - this fourth season has indeed been consuming my flesh.
Hope you all have a prosperous, or at least pleasant 2026. If I'm not done with the scripts or have not begun the editing process, I will not charge for January.

Hope you're doing well, Pain. 2025 sucked for a lot of us (mine ended on an especially down note), so if yours sucked too, at least know a lot of people really appreciate you, your wit and enthusiasm never fails to entertain and inspire, and we'll support you no matter what. And hey, if you're doing nine like Ultimate Doom, I'd be interested to see which one's the "secret episode." I await to see what you've got in store, but at the same time, please go at your own pace and take care of yourself.

Really difficult stuff like Swim with the Whales, horror, atmospheric and even story driven stuff like Formless Mother or Comatose... But in any case, happy new year and good luck to you MtPain, as well as everyone in the community!
