July '23 Update

Good morning folks,

The only constant in Dean of Doom's release schedule is its inconsistency. I wish that wasn't the case, but short of writing, recording, and editing an entire season's worth of episodes at a time and releasing them piecemeal (which would probably take a full year anyway), I don't see any way around it.

I guess I should have seen it coming, since DoD has never operated smoothly during the summer, but June bowled me over. Between full-time work, looking for new full-time work, and grappling with the letdown of getting almost no responses to my applications for new full-time work, it would have been a miracle if I had managed to complete a new script, let alone a new episode. There was also a death in my family on the solstice for which I was not fully prepared.

I spent most of this past weekend in bed with some kind of flu, I've almost fully lost my voice, and the funeral is this weekend, so I can't commit to any channel activity until at least next week. Unfortunately, I can't make any predictions about when the next episode will be out or when this season will end lest the hammer of Murphy's Law come down on me yet again.
