It was always the Dragon ball clan vs the Naruto clan on debating what was considered "better" whenever people talked about Anime in the early 2000s. (these were the 2 main OG animes that honestly started it all before other animes we all know of now came out.) Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon for sure was in discussion of course, but ppl mainly considered those like the typical "saturday morning cartoons" (idk how to describe it) type of vibe
