October choice poll

Last month's poll was pretty fun to watch and while Firetwins winning it didn't exactly come as a surprise (I'm fairly aware of you, charr follower army) and I did spend a few hours hissing at having to paint water, fur and wet fur, it was in the end extremely rewarding.

And I even ended up finishing it, which was a nice boon.

I'm trying to pick fairly diverse roster to not necessarily repeat the same choices two months in a row, but Septembers options will certainly come back at some point (and them not being picked doesn't rule out me working on them at one point or another inbetween).

With the episode 4 comic out of the way, I'm going to spend first half of this month on personal work and moving along a few personal projects which I'll soon share. I'm still not sure about my deadlines in the latter half, but I should have at least the ten-ish hours again, so lets see who's your choice this time around.

Here's this months picks: 

• So one of the illustrations from my header image? It's been unfinished for the past few years. Taken from the selfsame junk WIP pile as last months shark, this guy's actually fairly old. Almost 13th century old, actually. Just the right kind for an angry Lambert.
  I'm not sure if I'd be able to finish it in allocated time, but there's a solid chance to make him quite presentable.

• I recently discovered this sketch in my positively ancient folder (it's been years since I used this brush for sketching). I think one run too many of the Okami soundtrack is to blame...
  It features a shiba-inu delivery boy running with mail. Intended more of a pinup than a full illustration, it could be a fun experiment to try and turn this into something.

• I've grown rather fond of sketch pages, but it's been a while since I spent a given amount of time on a single character. I propose to pick one of my characters at random and just go wild with sketching. Expressions, gestures, studies... anything would be a fair game. I have a solid idea of who it would be, but I'll let that one be a surprise. Would you try and guess? I have quite a lot to pick from, so it's not gonna be easy.

• I used to have a tradition where I drew or painted the support role couple from Borderline every year. The experienced pair of urban explorers who take the protagonist and his friend under their wing have faded from my list of regular activities when my ideas outpaced my skills, but not before I started another such piece. It could be interesting to see what could I do with it now, a few years down the line.

• Another botched attempt at painting is quite more recent. It was one of the first paintings I did for the Partner Program, but seeing as I was never really that happy with the result, it was quickly thrown on the junk pile and never revived. I could try and see what can i bring to the table with fresh eyes.

That is all for this month. There's quite a few remakes this time around, and no represented third party fanart, which is something I want to remedy next month.
