NWS bulletins status
Added 2024-06-30 03:25:58 +0000 UTCLDM functionality to retrieve NWS bulletins are still not operational as of this point. There has been some back and forth between me and the COD staff to get it back online by automating the process on their side to update the IP address of the data server in their appropriate LDM conf file whenever the IP changes.
I wrote a bash script to accomplish this task, but it did not work during their first test runs due to misunderstandings in communication. I have since rewritten the script to hopefully function properly on their side, and am awaiting their test of the latest version. They are only staffed on Mondays through Thursdays, so I will need to wait until at least Monday July 1 for them to get a chance to test it.
I am hoping that the vertical bulletin scroll and horizontal warning crawl functionality of the simulator can be restored before the holiday on Thursday.
