Camera improvements
Added 2025-09-09 16:31:18 +0000 UTC0.7.4 will come with a revamped camera. Essentially, I've rewritten the whole camera experience, made it better, a lot cleaner and easier to work on. Changes:
First, the reworked camera does a lot better in keeping both characters centered and on screen, even in difficult positions where the old camera struggled. No longer would a character's head end up offscreen. Previously inaccessible angles are now available, as well as a larger zoom range. Post defeat off-center positions are also handled better.
The camera defaults now to no longer rotating to follow the characters, and stays put, allowing you to find the right angle and leave it in place. This is the new profile 1.
The previous default is now profile 2. It follows character rotation a lot slower and more naturally. Profiles 2 and 3 from previous versions have been removed, as they were only slightly different from profile 1. The main reason I'd kept them was for allowing the camera to get closer / further on Android, but that's now its own thing (see below)
Profiles 3 and 4 are now the 1st person view for each of the characters
As before, doing a middle click (Win) / double tap (Android) first resets the profile to its defaults (that's only if you've rotated / zoomed away from the defaults), then subsequently cycles through all profiles
There are now dedicated profile switch and zoom buttons on the screen (on the right hand side). This allows Android devices to zoom in / out (previously unavailable functionality on the touch screen), and makes camera profile functionality more obvious
