[IMPORTANT UPDATE] Future of the channel and my Patreon

Hey everyone, as always I hope you're doing good and that your projects are coming along well!

After some time thinking about it, wondering what path I want to take going forward, I have come to the decision I will stop making tutorials for the channel. It's not something I suddenly have decided but something that I have been thinking about for some time and of course want to let my Patreons know about first.

Before I get into it more, I want to say that my content will be kept up on Youtube and is not going anywhere, same with the script on my Patreon. They will stay up and be updated if any changes to Ren'Py is made or if any bugs are reported. And I am still planning on uploading scripts to Patreon of various kinds, but the video tutorial aspect of it will be going away. I am also thinking of sharing tips and tricks in written format, but they won't be too advanced or long.

I understand if this means I will lose a lot of Patreons and subscribers as many will have joined just because they wanted to support the video tutorials. I completely understand and wouldn't expect anything else.

For those who decide on sticking around on my Patreon for new scripts and tips and tricks posts are welcome to do so and I'm glad to have you sticking around! There won't be any video tutorials but I will write shortly about what the scripts do and such of course and will be commenting the scripts with information about different sections.

I have really been enjoying making video tutorials and sharing knowledge with all my viewers and my dear Patreons for the past 1-2 years. I'm glad to have gotten the amount of subscribers I have so far, and for all the Patreons who have joined to show their support for all the various reasons you decided to join. 

I never have seen myself as a teacher of any sort, I still don't see myself as someone who is particularly good at teaching anything, and I've always struggled with finding words to describe how something works, but it has been fun doing my best! 😁

I have always had many things I want to be doing, and somethings I have had in mind for a long long time and never been, for one reason or the other, able to get going with. Now I have some of those projects ready to be worked on and I'm super excited to get to do them. I have a visual novel I'm working on, other games unrelated to visual novels and Ren'Py, a whole separate business I'm just starting with... and I don't feel like I have the same energy, time or will-power to be working on tutorials for the channel anymore unfortunately. 

Regarding the visual novel game I'm doing, it's kind of a point-and-click visual novel hybrid I guess, and I'll be posting more about it here on Patreon when it's more completed for anyone who might be interested. 😊

I will be updating my channel as well soon with a community post most likely.
