Okay that’s my fault, my eyes must’ve skipped over where he said that it interfered with his teleport. I guess I shouldn’t read as much at 2 am

The moment that happened, the droids drew their weapons, turned, and fired upon the Directorate.” I groaned again. I’d suspected that was Sidious’ plan, but I’d not know about the forcefield, which must’ve been what interfered with my attempted Teleport. I’d remember that the next time I was faced with a shielded target because I had no interest in experiencing that pain again. “There was nothing we or Eriadu security could do to stop the massacre until the forceshield was lowered. Once it was taken down, security forces were efficient in destroying the droids.”

2023-06-07 13:56:32 +0000 UTCTo be clear, it wasn't the Force or Palpatine that 'fried' Cam, but the fact he tried to teleport through an active forcefield that, in the canon events, took technicians hours to power down to collect the bodies of the Trade Federation's directorate. That is the first time Cam's tried using Teleport through a shielded location, and Cam hadn't even realised that the balcony's shield had activated. Control of them should've been at the behest of security, not anyone else.

2023-06-07 11:16:09 +0000 UTCNot to mention, that Palpatine should know, that if anyone should understand that Cam didn’t fuck up his own power, and was actually attacked, it should be Cameron. So the person he’s trying to ingratiate himself to the most, is the one who should have gained the largest amount of suspicion towards him? I can’t stop thinking about how insane this is, and how many plot holes this one act causes.

2023-06-07 06:35:05 +0000 UTCIt gets even worse, I forgot that apparently his “misusage” would’ve apparently killed him?!?! No one’s gonna question this? He apparently misuses a force power so badly that he managed to first time at the age of 8 (9?), that it would’ve killed him. When has there ever been an instance in this story of Cam not only failing at an ability he’s already done, and not only that, but there’s enough backlash to kill him. I just can’t stop thinking about how ridiculous this should appear. In a realistic world, this would perhaps be the most obvious way for Palpatine to out himself, or at least put some very large doubt as to his public image. Absolutely insane

2023-06-07 06:27:04 +0000 UTCI was also under the impression that masters of the force can feel disturbances when dark side powers are used? 3 high council members plus however many other masters and no one notices a thing?

2023-06-07 06:18:01 +0000 UTCNot to mention Cam had all his battle passives actives and had apparently no warning from the force that someone was gonna electrocute him?

2023-06-07 06:00:28 +0000 UTCThe idea that everyone immediately accepts and Cam doesn’t argue against the fact that the force randomly fried him when he tried teleporting seems incredibly ridiculous (I know in this instance Cam understands that Palpatine fried him, but this idea is so ridiculous that I don’t understand why he doesn’t argue against its impossibility). In what other instance does a force power failing (not to mention when has Cameron ever failed to teleport??? Why would anyone think this is plausible in the first place. Thousands of spars where his force powers work completely fine, all the live battles he’s had, oops looks like you had a malfunction for no reason) electrocute someone? Seems like it was completely brushed over to force the plot.
