2025-08-09 16:26:49 +0000 UTCCongrats. Huge milestones!! I hoped for the best, but feared the worse. If your structural engineer signed off, it’s hard for the city to push back. I installed a composite deck 5 years ago because I was tired of maintaining wood. Love it. It gets hot (I’m in full sun), but it just needs to be washed every spring. Those plugs to hide the screw holes are awesome. I was worried to colour would fade. If it has, I don’t notice it yet.

2025-08-09 16:07:21 +0000 UTCPreviously the city electrical inspector didn’t like that the pool wasn’t up to current electrical code and didn’t like the answer of ‘we’ll get to it later’. I think their electrical contractor/inspector had a chat with the city about options that would allow they to keep the pool electrical out of scope.
