Poll: Previews & Feedback

Hey everyone,

This is a poll just for my higher tier patrons to give you a chance to answer a question for me.

I've shared a few WIP previews and beta files in the past. I often feel like I want to share more, but what holds me back is how often a project I'm working on changes or has problems that mean I can't finish it. There are projects I've worked on that I've never shared or discussed here because I couldn't complete them satisfactorily.

The reason I don't share these projects is because I don't want to disappoint anyone. I know the feeling when the official Sims team ask for votes on a community pack (like Laundry Day) and something you really love doesn't make it into the game!

On the other hand, I also want people who are on my higher tier to feel like they're getting something worth their money, especially since exclusives are no longer allowed by EA/Maxis.

So I'd love some thoughts on this question: are you interested in seeing more WIP previews and concepts, even if those projects change or are never completed? Or would you prefer to only see completed projects, alongside beta access to larger projects (like the 2.0 penis and breast betas I did)?

I've set the poll to allow only one answer, so please choose the option you prefer.

Alternately, if there's something else you'd like to see as a reward for higher tier patrons, feel free to discuss it in the comments or send me a message.

Thank you for your support!

Comments

I'm currently seeing a split in the poll results, so it's something for me to continue to think about for sure. I do sometimes find in the creation process that I want to know what people would think of something, so yes, sometimes it might be helpful for me. I'll see how any remaining answers go and play it by ear. Thanks for the feedback!

Thanks for the feedback! It may be a situation where I offer a few glimpses into WIP/concepts/ideas and if it proves helpful to me and interesting for others, I continue, and if not, I just shift back to fewer WIP posts. (Don't worry about the message lapse, that's on me too!)

I for one like seeing the creative process, the thoughts on what you are trying to accomplish as well as whatever difficulties arise, be they from a technical or artistic standpoint! It's only natural that some things work and others not so much, but seeing how these processes go for you in your creation is insight in things that not many people may associate with the process of producing custom content. It's a learning process for everyone involved in the end, both for you and for us who appreciate your work! (Also it's been ages since we last messaged, sorry about that!)

The idea of looking at WIP projects is to provide feedback, if this is valuable for you. If not, then there is no point.
