Update: RealGens - Gender Compatibility
Added 2020-01-14 00:09:10 +0000 UTCI love that The Sims offers more freedom of gender options, but making body parts nicely compatible and accessible has been a difficult ride.
I do need to say upfront that unfortunately there is no perfect solution to the gender compatibility issue, and may never be. I've arrived at the current setup after a lot of research and thought on the best way to approach it.
That said: the RealGens penis has been updated and penises are now available for all sims, of any gender and any frame.

WHAT DO I NEED TO KNOW?
If you're making a sim whose gender and frame match, almost nothing has changed about RealGens. You can continue to show or hide penises in CAS, and choose them in-game.
If you're making a sim whose gender and frame don't match, you now have the option to view penises in CAS and choose them in-game via the Body Selector.
Some important details:
- Penises are categorized by Fashion Choice. Sims will see penises that match their fashion choice setting, or you can change the filter to see others.
- For the best visual, equip your sim with a penis that matches their frame.
- The Gender Unlocks file is required to access all penis/frame combinations in-game.
- Condoms still work correctly (make sure a sim can impregnate others for auto use).
ARE THERE ANY PROBLEMS/ISSUES?
Three of the four gender combinations appear to work without problems: Male sims with masc frames, female sims with fem frames, and female sims with masc frames.
Male sims with female frames experience clipping problems when wearing the female penis with some male clothing tops. One of the preview pictures shows three types of clipping issues that can occur with roughly 50 male tops. I hate how high this number is, but every other fix I tried presented its own problems. Thankfully, not every top has a severe issue - and a fully naked sim has almost no problems at all.
There don't appear to be any problems with a female penis and female clothing tops (which were designed to fit together).
WHY IS THERE A CHEST DOWNLOAD?
One of the tops that clips the female penis is the default male naked chest. It only happens on male sims with a feminine frame who have a female penis equipped. You can use a male penis, but the game converts it and causes mesh distortion. So I created my first female RealChest - a chest with flat pecs rather than rounded breasts.
This RealChest design comes in two swatches:
"Masc" - a chest with a default texture. Designed for female sims.
"Femme" - a chest with no texture. Designed for male sims.
Either gender can wear the tops but because of the default textures/nipples, I highly recommend using the version for their gender. This chest is categorized as Female fashion by default, and can be found in Brassieres or Swimsuits.
WHAT FILES SHOULD I DOWNLOAD?
Male RealGens/Micro/Plus each comes in two versions: Default and CC-friendly.
Female RealGens comes in one version: Default.
You can install all four penis sets, but only ONE version of each!
- To see penises or chests in CAS, install the associated Visibility files.
- To see all penises in the Body Selector in-game, install the Gender Unlocks file.
- If you rename your files, make sure the Visibility file comes before the penises.

Oops, hit "send" too early! The Gender Unlocks file is a file that lets you choose all body parts for all genders in-game via the WickedWhims Body Selector. The female RealChest isn't required for the default RealGens experience, but is strongly recommended if you want to use RealGens on differently-framed sims (eg a male sim with a feminine frame). I aim to share a new version of this soon that will hopefully streamline some of these options and make it easier to understand and use!

For each gender to have RealGens there is just 1 file required: simdulgence_cas_ymBtm_RealGensPenis simdulgence_cas_yfBtm_RealGensPenis Each zip file in this post also has a Visibility file, which you can add to be able to see the parts in CAS (this will change in a future update based on a recent poll). Also, the male RealGens zip contains a second version - called "RealGensPenis_CC" - which has a smaller texture and is better for use with CC skins/overlays. You can only use *one* of the two files contained in the zip! The other zip files - Micro and Plus - are just different sets of RealGens for male sims, each containing different sizes. Those zips have their own Visibility files and CC versions.

I typically check my ''mods'' folder regularly, just to make sure I haven't added duplicates or 'whathaveyou's' I can not seem to figure out what exact list of RealGens I require. 2020-01-22 20:17:59 +0000 UTCI had a look at this and my results were interesting. In a household of 7 male sims, I set all sims to have the XSmall A penis. I then randomized penises, using a different one each time. The number of sims who received the new penis at random changed each time: Penis 1: 6 sims Penis 2: 2 sims Penis 3: 4 sims Penis 4: 7 sims Penis 5: 0 sims Penis 6: 6 sims Penis 7: 3 sims All of the penises are made the same way and added to the game in the same way. I can't think of anything in my files that would cause the game to favor some models (such as the Micro), but I wonder if there's a possibility that the coding for randomization is a bit high. I wouldn't expect 7 out of 7 sims to have their penis changed with that tool. Maybe the code needs to be slightly different? I can take a peek inside WW to see if I can figure out how it's randomizing, but I can't guarantee Turbo will change anything if it is too strong. If it does turn out that there's something that can be changed in my files, though, I'll see if I can make it better.

2020-01-22 20:11:35 +0000 UTCHmm, I've looked and I can see the RealGens and the RealGens Plus in my list of parts in the Body Selector. The Plus should show up between the RealGens and the fem-frame versions - is it possible you're scrolling past them or looking at the bottom of the list, rather than in the middle? I know it's a very long list of parts with the extra gender options. If you still can't see them, suggestions are 1) try a re-install of the files in this post after deleting your localthumbcache.package, 2) remove all mods but WW/RealGens and see if you still have the problem, or 3) send me a screenshot of your /Mods folder including my mods in case I spot something wrong. Sorry you're having an issue, but hopefully we can get it sorted out.

2020-01-21 22:59:10 +0000 UTCYou mean the clipping on the clothing? It could be - I don't know all the ins and outs of how they've programmed their sim bodies behind the scenes. I've actually found that the Christmas sweater in the pictures above has clipping problems when a male sim with a feminine frame wears it with a default Maxis clothing bottom. Obviously something behind-the-scenes to do with their coding isn't entirely optimized for clothing gender alteration. It's a tricky one to figure out and get right, and something I'm not sure I'll ever be able to fix.

Admittedly, I don't use the game's randomizer so I don't know all of the ins and outs, but I'll see if I can come up with any kind of answer. The only thing I can see right away that might not work is the idea of getting every sim to have a matching soft/hard penis. If you said "here's 10 sims, apply a soft XL, and then here's 10 sims, apply a hard XL" I don't see any way the game would know to apply the hard XL *only* to the sims it had given the soft XL. Like I said, I don't know all of the ins and outs of the WW coding for randomizing, but I don't think it recognizes that the sizes I've created are matched pairs. A sim could end up with an XXL soft and an XS hard, possibly. Anyway - that's not necessarily the issue at hand, I just wanted to raise it because I don't know that randomizing will get everyone to match by default. But everyone getting the same thing might be a separate problem (or might be working how WW intends?). I'll have to take a look at that and see if I can help somehow.

Here's the steps I took: 1) I selected a default chest, soft penis, and matching hard penis, and applied it to everyone using Wicked Whims. 2) I opened the body selector, random sims, select all four of the chests, and then exit. 3) Then I spent 20 minutes or so opening the body selector, random sims, selecting one soft penis, its matching hard penis, and then I exited. I repeated this for literally every penis you make. 4) Finally finished, I did some testing only to discover that every male sim I could find seemed to have the same micro penis. What did I do wrong? I also tried: 1) Selecting a default and applying it to all as above 2) I opened the body selector, random sims, and then I selected every chest, every soft penis, and every hard penis before exiting. But that didn't work either, everyone had medium retracted....I suppose I should ask this in the Wicked Whims support thread or something, but I thought somebody here might know, especially as I'd ideally want to make sure that everyone's soft penis matches their hard penis.

2020-01-20 02:56:50 +0000 UTCJust a stray thought, if the programmers modeled male and female based on actual human physiology, that would mean that they programmed hip dimensions graphically to hang on the frame. Your clipping might have to do with female hips are structurally wider and shorter than male hips who, comparatively, are narrow and longer. If the designed the "flesh" of the sims to mimic that as a hard code frame, then anything that is placed over that "flesh" frame has to either match the width/height ratio of the gender frame hips to avoid clipping from the "flesh" frame. I hope that makes sense..been years(okay read decades now) since i did graphical frame work. or put another way, hard coded on to the skeleton are blocks of graphics that are unyielding and meant to mimic the real world counterpart. in the real world, transgendered folks have problems with clothing because of the hip ratio and often have to tailor their clothse respective to their presentation.
