Poll: File Names
Added 2019-10-24 15:38:46 +0000 UTCRecently I've had feedback about .package file names: that some users would prefer the name remains the same for each update, rather than including a version number.
simdulgence_filename_v1.1.package
This way of naming files lets users know they're up to date and easily identify their version when they need technical support.
simdulgence_filename.package
Keeping the name the same across updates lets users replace files in /Mods without deleting the old ones.
I need a little more feedback to make a clear decision. The option that wins is how I will name files going forward.
What would you prefer?

I already do that. There's a changelog in the text file that gets included in my zip files, and I always state what's new in my posts.

2019-10-25 22:46:59 +0000 UTCI recommend the same name for updates for easy overwrite for users. And, if you're so inclined to take inspiration from Turbodriver Wicked Whims, when you do update patch notes just explicitly say what's changed and add pictures when needed like Turbo does.
