Delays and Future Prep
Added 2023-06-29 19:00:04 +0000 UTCGreetings patrons, this isn't an update I wanted to write, but unfortunately I am going to delay the release of issue 25 until July.
This is something I wanted to avoid; we've already had several delays this year thanks to my health concerns, I really didn't want to have any more. Issue 25 is close to being finished, but there are still a few finishing touches needed.
But I've noticed that the compression of the workload towards the end of the month and the scramble to get the issue out has become a pattern, one I want to break.
By delaying this issue for a month, I'm hoping to give myself the space to get back on top of content releases. I've spent a lot of time this week planning out the next year of content so that I have a clear idea of what articles are coming each month, what content gaps I need to hire writers for, what art assets need to be commissioned, and where our budget can be spent.
While it sucks to delay an issue (again), I genuinely believe doing this is going to give us the strongest year 3 possible. With a little breathing room I can focus on building back up our content backlog to give a buffer against future health blips,
A Night of Adventure
I don't want you to get no content this month though, so as we're delaying issue 25 I decided to give y'all volume 1 of A Night of Adventure. this book contains seven one-shot adventures designed to be as easy to run as possible without any prep.
Each adventure includes summaries of each section to give the game master a quick overview of the upcoming scenes, as well as frequent read-aloud boxes, reminder boxes, and design notes to give game masters more context on events. Each adventure is complete with a map by Dyson Logos.
