Game 7 - Working Progress - Page 26 + 27

- Here's the original sketches for pages twenty-six and twenty-seven. What I wanted was the corrupted character to play an arcade game while he has his captive locked in a cage. He loses in the game and complains for a bit. Then you see the main hero in the background.

- This is what I did for these two pages. I started with page twenty-six's background first because it's only one large panel with many different assests thrown together, while sorting out the background I found out that the cage was on it's own 3D layer, this made it tricky to work with so I did my best to angle it right. For the rest of the backgrounds for page twenty-seven however, I copied the 3D background and objects that were from the same background and either: moved the 3D background to a high or a low angle or removed background assets just to have one object in the panel. 

- For the characters I used 3D models that I put into the same 3D layer, then while I was extracting the lineart from the background I hidden the 3D models then I moved the 3D layer, hidden the background layer then converted the 3D models to lineart. After that I sketched over the models and then I cleaned it up so that it wouldn't be less of a hassle to outline.

- While inking both the poses I added some graffiti assets, broken pipes and junk, wires and other gradients to make the background look more abandoned. Then I shaded and toned both characters. 

- Here's the finished results for outlining page twenty-seven. 

- After inking I added my usual assets from the previous page, then I added some background image for the window behind the hero of this story and behind the new main villain. While I was finishing up on the backgrounds I found some new assets to play around with, so what I did was I used these new assets for the back of the arcade machine. 

- While finishing off page twenty-seven I added the animation portions of the comic by copying the animated frames from previous pages I've worked on before. Then I added the new chapter title, worded page twenty-seven.
