A-Star Heroes - Working progress - Page fifteen/sixteen

- Here's a rough sketch of page fifteen. At the time I couldn't think of a page layout for page sixteen, so I just left it out so I could focus on the page that I've already sketched out. What I planned was a new character to appear, a female A-star Hero.

- For page 15 I  used a 3D background for the top panel and manga textures, for the two right panels I copied and pasted that poses and backgrounds I've worked on before. Then after that I decided to experiment with the 3D models you see here. The best thing about uses these models is that they have skirts that flow and move whenever I would pose the body, which is perfect since this character has a skirt.

- After posing the 3D model I got to work on detailing the character. On the right is a rough sketch of the character I did before making the chapter. I ended up improving the character design in the pages, the only thing I changed was that I swapped the Ipod for a walkman attached to the skirt.

- Then I had an idea for page sixteen as soon as I finished detailing page fifteen. It's more character introduction with some with some silly humour in the end.

- Here's the finished detailed poses and backgrounds for both pages.

- While inking I decided to clean up the pose and change the body proportions for the female A-star Hero. I did this so that it would look cleaner for inking and so I could make some changes before inking. This was the part where I added the walkman.

- Here's the completed linework for page fifteen. One of the detailed poses for this page didn't have any arms, so before inking I added the arms and tilted the head slightly to give off a pleased look on him.

- Here's the completed page with all the tones and all the trimmings of my webcomic creating.

- After finishing off page sixteen I began inking page sixteen. These poses have either been inked in vector or have been cleaned up so that I could ink them using my binarizing technique. Then I sketched out the faces for each panel and inked over them.

- While inking I ended up moving around the bottom three panels which lead me to removing one panel and extending the other. I did this just to save time on inking and wording an unnecessary panel.

- Then I tonned all the backgrounds, characters and completed page sixteen. Then finally I worded both pages it was ready to be exported.
