A-Star Heroes - Working progress - Page eleven and twelve

- These were the original sketches for pages eleven and twelve. For these pages I wanted from this was The transfer student being introduced to the one character that gave him his powers. He'll be sitting there drinking his coffee.
- I ended up changing page eleven because I realised that I haven't done a character introduction for these characters. So I took the opitunity of changing the page layout just to come up with a name for the A-star Hero.
- At that moment in time I didn't have a character sheet for the character sitting in the chair. So instead of working on a charcter sheet, I ended up detailing the poses for the three panels that had the main focus. For the backgrounds I used some 3D backgrounds for the overhead shots and I removed the background elements just for the desk and coffee mug for page twelve.
- All three panels that have the two main characters hav been completed. At this moment in time I've been trying to come up with a design for the guy in the chair.
- After countless drawings I finally found a design that stuck with me. I ended up improving the design in the pages over time but this was first time drawing him and I needed to get it right. The design was based on a model kit I built months ago.
- I found a way of inking that's quick and takes even less time than properly outlining the detailed sketch. I used the binarization layer to convert the detailed pose, then I merged the layers together and I did use the pen tool to clean up the outlines.
