A-Star Heroes - Working progress - Page nine/ten

- Here's the original rough draft for pages nine and ten. What I wanted from this was the A-star Hero helping out the transfer student, but then the hero discovers that his work isn't good enough and realises that he has fan art of himself. The transfer student realises that his doodles got mixed up with his work and confesses that he wants to be an A-star Hero just like him.

- Before I started detailing the panels I created some placeholders for each character. Some of these are either detailed poses I've worked on before or poses that I've created to give me a rough idea of what I wanted. During this time I wanted to see if I could create a distance shot using 3D models.

- Afterwards I got to work fully detailing each panel. Then I started making the backgrounds for each panel.

- After completing the backgrounds I inked each panel and during that time I ended up removing some of the manga textures so that I could focus on outlining each panel. While working I ended up having second thoughts for the top panel of page nine, so that ended up being scrapped.

- While roughing out the faces I've hidden page nine so that I could focus on page ten more. I did this so that I wouldn't focus all of my time fixing one panel while leaving other panels that needed to be completed.

- After completing all the faces and backgrounds for the completed panels for both pages, it was time to start focusing on page nine's top panel. For the top panel I ended up copying the background from a previous page I've worked on before but adding new poses of the two characters picking up papers.

- The top panel is finally finished, everything is inked and toned to my liking. Thus these pages have been completed and ready to be worded and exported.
