A-Star Heroes - Working progress - Page five/six

- These are the original sketches for pages five and six. What I wanted was The transfer student to be on the floor being hassled by the school bullies who have been hanging around by the lockers. As soon as they hear a familiour voice across the hallway, they stop and turn to see who it is, it's one of the main heroes from the previous chapter. 

- These were the original detailed pages, some of the panels have either been changed due to me rearranging the detailed poses or changed completely until I'm satisfied with the outcome. This was going to be the final pieces but I ended up changing page five one last time due to my constant changing of ideas and layouts.

- Finally after being satisfied with the final page layout of page five, I've decided to start to work the backgrounds for both pages. Some of the detailed poses were either copied from the original sketch so that I could flesh them out more, copied assets from the previous page or previous work I've done with an updated style. 

- Then I got to inking page six. I started drawing them in vector so that I could edit each line to my liking, then I copied and pasted each pose for the bottom panels. I did this to save time on recreating the same hand, body and head. Afterwards I changed the hands from a relaxed hand to a fist. For the fist I copied it from a previous page I've worked on but I changed the size and line width so that it could look somewhat identical to the panel next to it. 

- After working on the four panels I started working on the panel with the four bullies. I drew all these poses by hand so that I could reuse them for page five. I left all the faces blank and the backrgounds somewhat bare so that I could focus on the inking and editing the outlines. 

- After finishing off the outlines I roughed out the faces, inked them, added the screentones and more effects so that it would get that extra pop. This is the finished results for page six.

- For page five I completed the top panel through inking like I usually do, I had to copy the three poses due to saving time and energy for inking new poses. Then I got to work on inking the two bottom panels, I copied one of the poses you see here because the only change I wanted to make was a head turn, one panel is looking at the transfer student while the other panel is for the head looking at the A-star Hero. 

- After completing the two bottom panels I couldn't think of what each character would say, to fix that I created some mock word balloons and written what I thought would each character would say.
