(Image if of the author, grinning because he's more than a bit lost, looking down from a balcony at the Excelsior Cafe in Shibuya, Tokyo)
State of the author for this month: I am in Japan on the Ship-Shape trip as discussed in the last two posts! We have already seen some cool things, visited some cool places - though I also had some very not-cool flight cancellations and have a very not-cool head cold!
Shadow of Mars is done, currently with the proofreader. I am about a third of the way into Broken Prince, but I don't expect to really sit down with Nikola again until I return home. Of course, the point of the story is that he's in a rough head space, but there are interesting games afoot!
I'll have a more substantive update in November, I hope, though I also expect to be moving at the start of the month so who knows? Life is a four letter word and the only thing worse than getting old is the alternative!
I hope you all enjoyed Regent's Mate! Void Spheres launches for the genera audience later this month (your copies were distributed in August and the bookfunnel link should still be live) so keep your eyes open for that.
Happy reading all!
