Redemption Redeemer Check-In

Comments

Thank you all for continuing to give us such strength, love, and support during what’s been one of the hardest times in all of our lives. I’m forever grateful for each and every one of you and the many memories we’ve all been able to share together along the way and we hope to continue that for as long as possible. If we’re somehow able to fill your day with even 1% more laughter, joy, insight, healing/positive energy for even a little bit, then it’s all worth every second 💜

Hi, yes now Taeil is getting a lot of coverage. The allegations were made in June. The public was made aware last week when he, his band mates and company decided that he should leave the band while this investigation moved forward. It is good that the police did not and has not leaked details about the accusation. It is good that the police did not alert the K media when Taeil was coming on for interrogation so he did not have to go through the gauntlet and bow. Now, K media is going wild. I agree. But, their frenzy was immediate with Suga. To be clear, I have not jumped to the conclusion that Taeil is guilty. As far as what I put forward as a conspiracy theory, I stated what the facts are and I stated what was not proven. I did not say that there are facts to prove that SM orchestrated it. So, I feel I made that distinction. I am sorry if what I posted offended you...not my intent to offend anyone.

very unnecessary comment for this video. to say there was no media hysteria for Taeil and nctzens specifically are to blame for Suga’s backlash is completely false. Taeil was being dragged (as it should) through the mud and no one defended his heinous actions. Also SM is having too much of their own internal issues to be worrying about another artist (who happens to be in the biggest most known kpop group mind you, needed no help creating media frenzy there) from another company being a smoke screen. you a little too old to be doing this …..

I don't know if you have the time or interest to follow the recent crap around Suga. An incident that was basically him falling when parking a little scooter while drunk turned into a media frenzy, calls for him to resign from BTS, fake CCTV of the incident being spread by reputable Korean media, demands for him to walk a media gauntlet of shame and multiple apologies. In the end, the truth came out. But ARMY throughout the world started to stream Suga's music and all of his albums began to chart highly on every stream. Streaming for mot one day but weeks. The relationship between BTS and ARMY is no joke. Suga's case is now with the prosecutor so it is not over. Speculation is that no further penalties will be imposed. You may know that last year, the police illegally leaked information to the press that they were conducting a drug investagation into GDragon &- the lead actor from Parasite. The media hysteria was overwhelming. For 2 months, these guys were hounded . They lost endorsement deals and the actor, who was married, had his family life torn up. After 2 months the police filed no charges. They did start investigating 2 women who were trying to extort these guys. Clearly in Korea, no proof is needed to destroy a person's career. Tragically, the actor committed suicide. I don't see a parallel here with Western artist. Can you imagine if any Western singer, was drunk, drove a small scooter, at the correct speed, in the designated lane and did not hit a person or object be treated this way? No. It has made me realize that BTS has pushed the envelope of social norms in Korea. Other reactors found BTS's early work too tame because they didn't swear enough or have talk about sex. They seemed tame for rappers but in the context of Korean culture, they ruffled feathers. Like here, Korea's political parties are having a culture war. To me, BTS have been perfect ambassadors for Korea. But they are still used as a political football among the country's parties. Conspiracy theory: it has been proven that the social media campaign to have Hybe cut Suga from BTS was the efforts of some highly motivated NCTs fans. A Korean reactor has said that a few of the big companies pay/direct the fan clubs. You may not know that an NCT member is being investigated for sexual abuse of a woman. This started in June but was not known to the public until last week. No police leaks, no Media hysteria, no walk of shame in front of the police station. I do not condone public lynchings, but the disparity is obvious. My conspiracy theory is that SM wanted a smoke screen for their guy's troubles until tgey figured out what to do. La-st week they did cut him from the group Ok, that's it. Maybe this ling post is proof I have too much time on me hands

Hi, Nick's death made me realize that I felt I have a relationship with all of you. I am not delusional. This is not a substitute for my family and friends but it is a relationship built on a joint interest. I am old, I say that in many of my comments but I think I am old enough to be all of your grandmother. I come with a very different life experience but in this space, I feel a commradarie. So, what you do is important to me. I know you are young guys building careers following your dreams. You are not full time reactors. As long as this adds to your life, keep doing it but you are not obligated to do it. I admitt that when Jimin released MUSE, I couldn't help but think how he would have been busting with JOY. I am sure it is painful for you but at this point in my life, I now see those moments as gifts. In those moments, I now feel it is a visit. I hope this happens for you. Stay strong

The audio quality for this video is noisy. There's static in the background sound. Unless that's the AC in the background?? Otherwise, thank you!

Love you guys. I've been watching your reactions for 2+ years now and I totally understand not posting as much as before Nic passed bc he was like the driving force and glue that brought everyone together. We know you miss him and so do we bc he had this positive and uplifting energy that was just so nice to see. One thing I miss is his infectious laugh. But I also watched for the rest of you guys because I loved hearing all the different opinions and seeing what everyone liked. When some of you took little breaks (Kurt, Lo) I would wonder if you were doing good and when you'd come back. Every channel is different and doesn't require posting on a rigid schedule. I just get happy seeing drops every now and then bc I can binge them while at work or on days off. You're doing a great job Zac btw! I appreciate you all! ♥♥♥

I just wanna say it’s completely understandable not uploading often or as consistently, yall are still in that period of grieving a loss on top of dealing with life outside of youtube. I can’t imagine how heavy it’s been trying to juggle everything these past several months. Those who complain about content not being uploaded simply need to take a step back and be more understanding of the position yall are in. Big up to Zack for taking up the mantle in trying to figure out the technicalities of everything Nick did with this channel and his films. It couldnt have been easy so I just wanna let you know I appreciate all the effort being made. I dont want yall to feel like this channel and the Redeemers have to be prioritized. Life is kicking all of our asses so it’s more than okay to take breaks and handle things going on in your personal lives. I’ve been watching yall for almost 3 years and to see the growth and dedication Nick gave is so heartwarming. His impact was grand and with him gone it’s definitely some large shoes to be filled. What I loved the most about yalls reactions was that yall never finished a video or song just with “it was great” and then ended the reaction. Everyone gave differing opinions and perspectives, and you could tell it was from an honest and genuine place. Alot of reactors on youtube fake their reactions and its always painfully obvious bc the commentary stays the same and most ppl keep it positive so they dont piss off their audience. With yall I never felt like I was getting a fake reaction and whenever yall wasn’t feeling something regardless of how many ppl may have disagreed in the comments yall kept it a buck. I really appreciated how anytime someone had a question about the artist or song yall would fact check and google the information right then and there. Nick did a really great job connecting references back to American artists putting ppl who were unfamiliar on game. I loved when he would bring up an era of music from back in the day and explain the inspiration it gave for the songs, music videos, and the fashion in the reaction. This would sometimes end up with yall going on tangents, debates, even side conversations turning a 5 minute reaction into half an hour lol I really do miss those because it was so entertaining esp hearing opinions from ppl with experience or bg in music/dance/film. I understand with him being gone and yall trying to upkeep everything else in your personal lives it’s not going to be the same. I’m sure with time yall will find your rhythm again and it might be a different one from before but it’ll still foster a community of people who love kpop just as Nick wouldve wanted and thats all that matters. Will keep everyone on the panel in my thoughts and prayers ❤️

tbh i was totally expecting a break. i hope you guys are doing okay . ♥️

this was really insightful and honestly really comforting to hear where all yall heads are at. to be completely transparent i wasn’t sure how i was going to interact with the channel/the patreon after nic’s passing. not only was i heartbroken as a viewer and as a patreon who had little chats with nic but i also wasn’t sure if it was appropriate to continue with patreon requests and whatnot considering the fact you guys just lost someone that you love and cared for. i’m just glad to know that you guys had each other so that you could mourn as long as you needed to. please take care of yourselves. 🫂 i know getting the hang of all the technicalities is tough but we’ll be understanding, especially now that we know that you guys weren’t used to dealing with uploads and all that. give yourselves grace.💓
