All I know is that their main director has always been LUMPENS since their debut. He's very intuned with how their lyrical representation may be conveyed in their mvs. I'm sure they get some say but I can't recall specifics about it. I also believe he was awarded recently for his work on their mvs (someone correct me on that) and he often posts a 3D layout of how he wants the mv to be shot on his Instagram. He's very talented, I hope they always shoot with him. I first followed him after I saw his layout for Jin's 'Astronaut' mv, but I don't know much else. Hope this helped a bit! :)
