Love your reaction videos especially for Suga Day! Could you do one for him playing to Ryuichi Sakamoto's Merry Christmas? Thank you!

Psy is one of the greats, but he's never been considered Kpop. He only became tied in with Kpop after 2017 when BTS busted down that barrier/paved a smoother path that was full of potholes from the 2nd gens who manged to make knock on the western markets door. Not an easy feat for any of them and no one can take that away from them but it was still a niche' thing as there were only a few shows who actually had Korean artists on. When PSY busted onto the scene with way more impressive feats than those 2nd gens it was amusing to those who already knew Kpop because he wasn't kpop but he managed to do something those 2nd gens couldn't. He was on more talk shows, more prime time talk shows than the small handful of 2nd gens who managed to dip their toes here... and even those 2nd gens admit it. However the bad news was that even though he had an amazing song that was fun- No one knew what the hell it meant, not many knew he was even Korean. They kept asking him dumb things like asking him if he hangs out with William Hung from american idol, he kept getting asked if they were friends and went to do karaoke together. For those not aware- William Hung is chinese, he's from Hong Kong. He also was made fun of for his singing, but he turned it into something positive. PSY could only laugh and try to correct them but people here kept making the same mistake. It was the limited Kpop fans in America that tried to correct people but were often then insulted for being 'too serious about an asian guy' <--- literally what many were told on twitter and other social media sites back in 2012. So again, while yes.. PSY is amazing, he only had one hugely popular song that made it high on the charts in America(bilboard hot 100), none of his albums were on the bilboard hot 200 chart, he did make it on the global 200 chart though but not as high as what many at the time thought he deserved. Because again.... he was not as known, not many knew he was korean, didn't know about Kpop, didn't tie him to Kpop. And PSY himself has said this on more than one occasion. He even told Yoongi that BTS finished what he could not. It's just a fact. I think if PSY had been aiming for breaking into the western market, if he had actually been trying- maybe he would have had a more lasting impact. However he never expected Gangnam style- a song that criticizes the upper class.. to go viral all over the world. Then again, BTS never expected to be nominated for a bilboard award either. It seems like those who don't try, and just do their thing, naturally manage to at least break into the western market. However, in china, Japan, and especially Korea... PSY was very popular from before Gangnam Style. The man could sell out a show no problem and he still does it. Yoongi killed it, he always has though. He used to b-boy before BTS and since he's had that shoulder fixed- YES, he's been killing it. I'm excited for his tour, I know he's going to do amazing. I have no doubts in my mind about it. I miss Yoongi's long hair already, but Keith is right- Long haired Yoongi is just different. Thanks for the drop as always.💜💜💜💜

I agreed Gangnam Style was my first introduction into K pop. And if it wasn't for that song, I wouldn't even know what the hell K pop is. That crowd was bananas, and when Suga came out Man, that's a concert you wished you attend. great reaction guys.
