I love the way he can get into that headspace and go off. I kind of wish Jimin could do one sometimes. There's only one video on Hope of the Street where Jimin busted down a little. Though, I've seen both of them freestyle on stage. Also, the comment about black people gatekeeping hip-hop culture is so true. (I'm black btw) Because today I was watching Hobi's 'Jhope in the Box' documentary, and my dad kept snickering at Hope practicing his rap in the studio. Just goes to show how the older gen seems to react to non-black artists, but anyway, today's drop was great. Really enjoyed it!๐๐

He has said he does this when he can, he'll hop into the dance practice room after most everyone has gone home and he'll dance like this/warm himself up/try new moves he hasn't done when he's alone. Usually when he does these dance lives it's just him warming himself up to either- not let his body get too rusty/stiff, and also to clear his head. He's said before when he just dances like this, there is no thought process and he lets everything go. Hobi has so much love and respect for the culture and other dancers who put in the work. This is something his mentor- Bangster had shown him was the way to be- respect your source- be it the culture or if you're doing someone else's choreo. I've always loved watching him dance, back in 2012 when he was on Jo Kwon's Animal... he made my jaw drop and I wanted to see more, didn't know who the hell he was, but there were rumors of him being part of BigHit's upcoming boygroup. And that turned out to be fact when they started uploading their vlogs, and you could send them messages on the old message board. Back then though, Hobi wouldn't always get messages, sometimes he'd get a few, but he got the least out of all of them. Fast forward and now everyone's screaming his name. Also- Jimin is the Brand Ambassador for DIOR And Suga is Brand Ambassador for Valentino. BTS are/were Brand Ambassadors for LV, However Jimin was able to become Brand Ambassador for Dior because LV and Dior are both owned by the same over-all owners. Which is why Hobi went to both shows and wore both LV and Dior clothes. That being said, they're no longer in an exclusive contract- Jimin and Suga are the only two with exclusive contracts now, for Dior and Valentino. Hobi has not committed to one brand yet, but he might in the future, same with other members. There's rumors over who will sign with what brand next. And there's rumors of what brands want which BTS member or members. We just have to wait and see, but you bet our guys are making money and getting free clothes in the process. lol. ๐๐๐
