They've def been doing SM artist/group crossover concerts/stages/festivals since before 2006 cuz that was the year I got into kpop and I watched a bunch of collab stages that year. In the old days, there were also a lot more cross-gender team ups and cross-company showcases as well. SHINee members are in a bunch of them. Here's one of my favorite stages from 2012 where SHINee and their sister gg called f(x) team up in a "cover battle" against B.A.P and the gg Secret. So it was a TS vs SM entertainment battle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0eInMulXtj4 I think you've only seen a cover of an f(x) song by Dreamcatcher. f(x) is a SM girl group that debuted in 2009 (1 year after SHINee) but unfortunately stopped promotions a few years ago and the last members left SM as of 2021. f(x) was the sister group to SHINee in that they had similar experimental, contemporary, trendsetting concepts like SHINee but for women. They're basically the proto-Aespa when it comes to experimental music. For another memorable SM artist collab, who can forget the wonderful Taemin and BoA performance of BoA's iconic song "Only One" from the 2020 MAMA awards? (https://youtu.be/P38yHXB1Pp8?t=251) This is one of BoA's biggest hits (The GRIP this song had on me 10 years ago...my goodness!) and she performs it a lot with some top male kpop idols/dancers like TVXQ's Yunho, EXO's Sehun, Super Junior's Eunhyuk, Ten from NCT/WayV, and more. She even did a stage with a non-SM artist, Wanna One & NU'EST's Minhyun! However she's said a few times that her favorite partner to dance with for this stage is Taemin. He's done a lot with her over the last 10 years but the latest 2020 version is my favorite due to his maturity and an aching vulnerability to it that he didn't have in the older performances. It's fun to watch all of BoA and Taemin's collabs for this stage together in order to see how much Taemin's grown as a dancer from a decade ago. Anyway, sorry for this literal essay. Y'all got me thinking of collabs and I wandered a bit.

2022-12-10 05:32:32 +0000 UTCSpeaking on the dice symbolism discussion, I interpreted that the masked guys actually attacked the girl to steal her multisided die since her and Onew seem to be the only people still possessing individuality in that universe. That's why the henchman is shaking when we see him with it and at the end she's stealing it back from them as she escapes. Maybe taking the dice away strips you of choice and personal autonomy and turns you into a masked clone to be controlled like the others. SHINee loves to do these surrealist, unsettling kind of concepts. But they all do them so differently such that they have completely distinct and individual vibes. It makes them all feel like their own artist when solo but such a cohesive team when they come together. The Dice mini album is super wavy. One of my favorite albums in 2022. The b-sides are A-1 forreal. Y'all should check out the "Dice" dance practice. I absolutely LOVE the choreo for this. Very chill vibe. He was in Australia filming a travel show with Jae Hwan from Wanna One. Part of the show is to film song performances. I know you have a tier for requests so this is more of a recommendation for expanding your Onew and SHINee journey. He's always shined in SHINee's songs, but I feel like he really killed it in their album (Don't Call Me) last year. I think y'all would like his solo debut "Blue." He sounds heavenly in that song. And to correct you Nick (even tho the way you were saying his name was cute lol): It's pronounced like Oh-New. Hope that helps!
