I don't have any experience with D&Destiny yet, but it sounds, from the video, that you don't want it to be the stereotypical D&D Fighter: I attack, I attack again, I action surge and attack again, etc. Having no experience with your system (I've only just perused the 2e section for gunslinger), I offer these few suggestions fully understanding that they're probably terrible: - Lean further into the gun aspect: -- Give gunslingers additional bonuses for using a specific (player chosen) gun archetype(s): sniper, hand cannon, pulse rifle, etc. in addition to their Weapon of Choice -- Give them ways to improve allies' guns (even if temporarily) beyond the Empowered buff - Take a page from the D&D 5e Fighter (yes, I see the irony given what I compared gunslinger to in the first sentence) and introduce fighting styles (gun styles?) I wish I could offer some better suggestions, you guys are doing good work, but I have no original ideas.
