He's not "stuck" lol have you even paying attention to him? He has the most writing/producing credits out of all the vocal line members. He wrote and produced "My Time" (R&B) "Still w/ You" (Jazz/R&B), "My You" (Pop/soul), "Love is not over" (Rap/R&B), Run BTS (Rap/HipHop/Rock/Contempary), Magic Shop (Pop), Dreamers (Pop/contempary) "Film Out" (Ballad/Folk) "Your Eyes tell" (Ballad/Folk) He was also a songwriter for "No more dream" which the whole song was Hiphop/rap He also took part in writing Autumn Leaves which is R&B/Rap He also wrote Stay (Which is a pop/cotempary/rap) song. Jungkook has written/produced ALOT of genres of music, and so what if he only sung pop, that's the genre he LIKES, he should be able to do what he wants. But do your research before saying nonsense.

2022-09-02 10:37:46 +0000 UTCI sort of agree with Lo when I listen to a JK song I'm not really surprised or shocked to see him singing the way he does. Although his style of poppy music is something I can almost always enjoy. I do however, wish he'd pull off more of what he did in ON... breathtaking. What I don't agree on is saying JK doesn't seem to have a specific style or nothing comes to mind when thinking about him compared to someone like V who you automatically think "oh deep voice bass etc" I know you all said it was because he just be doing everything but from my perspective JK excels in using breathiness whilst singing. Compared to the other members JK has total and consistent control of the breathiness in his voice, his breathiness IS his sound that soft natured and matured tone is what distinguishes JK between the other voices you can especially hear it when he sings live. I can't remember if yall reacted to JK singing on a show called masked singer but its a great example of how he uses this technique to sway the audience and judges to feel a certain way when listening to the song. For example, they say things like they want to melt whilst listening to his voice, I do believe he excels in this technique whilst it may not be everyone's style I do believe its something he himself loves doing. I don't know if anything I said made any sense lmao but I think my main point was that I think JK does have his own unique quality in his voice something he can excel at just like with the other vocal line, Jimin falsetto high, V baritone soulful, Jin ballad king powerful raw vocal and JK soft airy, breathy and playing with his vocal runs. I know JK however, could potentially do most of what the other members can do vocally I just believe that he doesn't want to make their defining qualities into his own, I feel like he also excels or likes to support the other vocals making them sound better using his soft breathiness into the harmonies of their tracks. Anyway I'm just rambling on now hopefully yall can decipher what I mean or disagree feel free 🤣🤣 Love the reactions though always fun <3

Also he loves listening to Ariana and Teyanna Taylor. He's more like a R&B/Pop guy, I really wouldn't put him in a ballads category, because all the members listen and cover ballads, ballads are a really big thing in South Korea so its only natural that they sing/listen to it a lot. But he's definitely more R&B/Pop more than anything

The tannies have proved times and times again that they tend to go a completely different route from what we may expect cuz who would've thought that Jack in the box would sound that way? I do prefer Jk's voice or any other member, for that matter, on particular genres, but I know that they are versatile and will do whatever they feel like. I'm just excited... Joon and Jimin are definitely next!

I judge songs on all components. Lastly I brought up Best of Me and to a lesser extent Boy With Luv because they are examples of “Poppy “ BTS at their absolute best… especially Best of Me which is a top 8 BTS song easily …IMO

You aren't the first person to say that and your probably not going to be the last but let me tell you, PTD came out on the anniversary of Army's birthday, it was a GIFT for us, and they made it in appreciation for us, if you remember the music video, it was a awareness MV made to celebrate a future without masks and for Army to be healthy. Then they added universal sign language at the end to reach all audiences, say what you want about PTD, but it's an amazing socially aware song that many artists wouldn't attempt to make. Yes Euphoria was originally made for Bieber but Bighit and some other writers fixed it and remade the lyrics to fit more of Jks vibe, with boy with luv and best of me, just because of their production doesn't mean the lyrics are childish or immature, BTS are literally known for their lyrics, they always have memorable lyrics and deep lyrics re-read the lyrics to Euphoria, Best of Me, etc. Basically ALL of their poppy songs, Dynamite & Butter were made for the hot 100, PTD however was made for Army

2022-09-01 19:52:07 +0000 UTCI share similar sentiments on JK being one of the more malleable members of the group As far as the negative connotation of “ poppy” I think it’s a fair assessment if that’s what the songs are made to be…for me the production , lyrics and vocal mixing usually is my deciding factors… this song being originally for Bieber kinda tells me all I need to know… to me a song being poppy doesn’t mean it’s bad, it just means it was made to be ubiquitous … Boy With Luv and Best of me are perfect examples of this Then you have songs like PTD which couldn’t be any more of an obvious Hot100 attempt Also I don’t think every one can do Rap or R&B either but that’s for another day

I don't really know why so many people have the connotation that if something is "Poppy" then it's not "mature" enough or it doesn't "showcase" an artists capabilites enough, the notes and falsettos' he hits in this song is AMAZING, and on top of the choreo and litearlly FLYING in the air, it's god tier, I also love Still w/ You and My Time, but Euphoria defentily showcased his vocal ability the most. We as a community need to stop labeling pop songs as immature and as "generic" because there's a lot of people who can do hiphop & r&B but not everyone can do pop

Fun fact the song was supposed to be for Bieber but he turned it down. I think a good chunk of his life revolved around bts and Army because that's all he knew because he was so young. Now that's he's older I believe we will get more mature music because he's had life experiences and he's coming out of his shell personality wise as well. I believe his solo album will still have pop because he does love it but I think we're gonna get different genres as well. Can't wait to see what he drops. HBD JUNGKOOK

Even for Autumn Leaves, JK only has writing credits for the chorus. Magic shop was the first song he primarily wrote AND produced for. A lot of the solo songs have been mostly written by RM actually with the members helping where they could at that time. At least till the 7 and BE albums where the other members had written more. It helped to take some pressure off of RM, even though he still had a lot to write, it helped him to have the others writing more. I think we mostly see each member shine is in their solo works that are mostly put out on soundcloud. Everyone can like these 'solo' songs. Even when they're written by RM mostly. However, I think we can see each member's true musical colors when they write for themselves. Which I think is why a lot of ARMY's consider Filter, an example of Jimin's true talents. And why ARMYs believe MOON is Jin's true show of talent, JK's My Time tend to be a popular one ARMYs think shows JK's true talents, Your Eyes Tell, and Still With You seem to be tied for second most popular. For Tae- Winter Bear or Scenery. Of course the popularity of Sweet Night has exploded and that one usually gets mentioned more than the other two. I do think that JK shines the most when it's songs he does himself, and those songs are usually focused on ARMY. Magic shop being a prime example of that, still with you is also right there. This performance was great, He did mention it was chilly/cold flying around like that, but he loved that he could see more ARMYs that way. He really enjoyed it and if I remember correctly- Namjoon and Hoseok said Only JK would do something like that- be hung on a hook and fly over the crowd. He is the brave little brother after all. lol. Personally, one of my favorite songs by JK is decalcomania... we never got a full release of the song though. Also I agree with what you guys were saying but it’s also harder to predict what he will do with his solo work because we haven’t seen a full body of songs from him like we have rapline and in 2020 or so he said he was working on his album/mixtape and said he wanted to try a lot of storytelling in his lyrics and also try out different genres and now that he doesn’t have to focus all of his time on group songs and making the guides for those etc. that he can now fully put his energy towards his own stuff which i think will for sure give him his time to try a lot of different things

However, he may carry/assist in many areas for the group. So it is not surprising or upsetting that you are saying you wouldn't expect him to do something completely different. As you guys go further in your journey and see the behind-the-scenes he is always singing, and it is generally ballads unless it is a rap line song.
