Redemption Reacts to [BANGTAN BOMB] j-hope 'Jack In The Box' Listening Party Event Sketch - BTS

Redemption Reacts to [BANGTAN BOMB] j-hope 'Jack In The Box' Listening Party Event Sketch - BTS

Comments

Im pretty sure they did perform in some clubs early on. I remember a clip of jhope freestyling and suga hyping him up maybe pre-debut or right after debut. But I can't tell you the details since i dont know. But it really looks like they haven't gone out to just mingle at events for a LONG TIME, if ever. I know in the US, they went to at least one where they p much got ignored. Language barrier maybe? Other, less tasteful reasons? Who knows, but it might be one of the reasons they never went out after events

Ana .

hope you guys can react to some of hobi's performances at lollapalooza ^__^

nanami

Please react to Jackson Wang comeback -Cruel mv

Kori Boyd

Yesss I was shocked when I saw the photo on J-Hope's IG...he looks so happy, I almost can hear him fanboying like crazy lol, and then the photo with both, Jimin J-Cole and J-Hope, what a sweet interaction for sure.

Kharys A

OMG...to add to that did you see that Jimin and Jhope met JCole!!! So happy for them.

Nellie Z

I am Jin in those kind of stuffs LOL but it was really nice and satisfying seeing the guys supporting Hobie on his solo project and as you see guys JK and V had a blast haha...about what Lo mentioned by himself ( I mean when he is alone) Jk is more shy but when he is with the guys he just feels more comfortable, sadly Yoongi wasn't there but I am sure he provided his support to J-Hope on another moment, did you know guys Jimin went to Chicago to be with J-Hope during his performance tomorrow at Lollapaloza? so sweet, thank you for the reaction guys!

Kharys A

I added that their privacy could be an issue too. I was only saying it could be these few things, I'm sorry for not wording it better, lol.

Matachiwa

i dont think them not filming the women has anything to do with army its more getting permission from every guest and also the royalty aspect obv bighit is making money off the video so theyd have to pay the guests for appearing.

BTS do have their fair share of idol friends in the earlier part of their career, such as GOT7 as well as intermixed chatgroups (refer below article) when they had more time & opportunities to mingle on Korean broadcast shows. In the latter part, I think time and distance as with any relationship/ friendship will have some impact, some becomes inactive naturally and active ones can fly under radar for all we know. In a way to me, the album represents a side of Hobi who's not an idol but an solo artist so i didn't really think much into having more idols at the party. Labels & their artists-wise I feel SM is prolly the only one not really for it while JYPE wouldnt have mind their founders being friends and for YG, Big Bang Taeyang was there (so no restrictions?) ---- Source for chatgroups: https://www.koreaboo.com/lists/idol-friend-groups-span-across-multiple-groups/

The known introverts of the group are Jin, Suga and JK. I feel the most sociable ones are Jhope (no probs with approaching peeps) and V (got a nickname for being able to make friends even on his way to the toilet in his younger days tho he confessed to being a homebody in latest vlog). Imo Jimin and RM are in the middle - Jimin is known to be shy in a new/unknown/stranger environment (which is why he joked he will be hiding in a bathroom in the vidz) but can socialise when people approach him while RM's love of reading/gg to parks to think i feel makes him an ambivert. They are not really into the partying celeb influencer lifestyle. Given their personalities, some Armys like myself doubt that other BTS members apart from V would do this sort of listening party for their respective solo works. Judging by the interviews Jhope been giving, he's in the driving seat re what he wants for his album as well as promo activities.

Yeah, this party was mostly K-Hip hop artists and dancers, with a few other Idols sprinkled it. Not many Idols were at the party, but there were a few- Like Hyuna, one of the Queens herself. Hobi did an interview with IU where he talked a little about why he did this. He said he really didn't know many other Idols/musicians and so he wanted to just invite some people and kind of use this party to introduce himself as a fellow musician. Yeah, this video didn't show a lot of it, Namjoon was being social, Hobi was- according to a few people who were there- being an amazing host and he went around to everyone as often as he could and made sure people were having a good time and enjoying themselves. Jimin did get into his social groove, he did talk for a while with Jessi, it was funny and she found it funny too that apparently he told her "you're not as scary as you seem." Obviously he was teasing, but I found it funny cause Jimin was acting like he'd never talked with Jessi before and was meeting her for the first time- but BTS filmed like 3 different phone card commercials with her back in the day lol. Tae also did make the rounds- with Tae he can be really shy when meeting new people, but he also can make friends fast because he's usually more outgoing. From what's been said by those who were at the party though, he was being social. It was mostly Jin and JK who didn't really mingle too much, but those two are- like Yoongi, total introverts and felt a bit out of place. Jin has mentioned he doesn't really do things like that. Most of members don't really party, They've all admitted not really going clubbing and how they really rather just chill and not be in large crowds of people. Yeah, Bibi got her pic with Namjoon. I hope they were able to set up a time to talk again cause I know Bibi has been wanting to do a song with Joon, and yeah it helps that Tiger JK and Yoon mi-rae know Namjoon and have a good friendship with him. Zico was there, we knew IU wasn't because on her show where she interviewed Hobi, she asked him why she didn't get an invite lol. It was a cute interaction, she made him promise to invite her to his next party though lol. It's more difficult for Idols from companies to show up to these things- with the exception of some of course. Like Hyuna and Dawn who are still with PNation, but Psy isn't the kind of guy to go policing what the artists in his company can do in their own time. Inviting friends from other companies is a bit... rough though. On one hand you have the possibility of the company using the invite as an opportunity to either boast or drag Hobi's party. Or some other scheme, but then you also have the public's view of it- and the fans that could get upset. It's also why this was focused mainly on BTS. Even though the artists that attended have been vocal about going- Fans who might not pay attention to those artists or don't care about Jessi cause 'well she's older and like their sister', or Hyuna who 'she was their with her fiance', she's taken so no worries'. Because unfortunately... some fans don't like seeing male and female idols mingling. And if HYBE filmed this with no regards to that.. showing the guys mingling and dancing with the women there, well... then those people might have gotten some DMs that would only paint the rest of BTS's fandom in a bad light. So it was a good choice to protect those artists and not film them in this way. But those of us mature enough- know that at least Jimin, Tae, Hobi, and Joon were mingling with most if not everyone there.

ARMYnotArmy

Great reaction guys and I loved the discussion at the end as well lol and I can relate to jin and Lo is hilarious can't wait for more also please react to Hope interview with IU as well as his interview with Zico ๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’œ ALSO I dont go out much I might go out sometimes but not much I'm not a clubbing person

Lexi

besides specific friend groups like 97 liners and 92 liners and some random idols here and there bts arent or dont seem to be too close with idols especially after 2017 when bts got bigger in the states a lot of their "idol" friends stopped supporting them in front of cameras. it could be bts being busy and their labels being salty at bts success since so many groups stopped attending award shows after bts started winning every year but it also could be the idols themselves. it was very interesting seeing so many of the k hip hop and r&b scene and not many idols besides idols who are in between the industries or idols who left the big 3 or idols who are solo artists only like sunmi, dawn, hyuna etc but jhope could also just be closer to these people than he is to idols cause iu had asked why she wasnt invited and it seemed he didnt know she would want to attend or wanted to keep it small im not sure about that so dont take my word for it i didnt get to watch the whole iu and jhope video yet just saw clips on twitter. but yeah i remember bts saying they didnt have many idol friends a few years back its also difficult to become friends with people in other companies many idol friends are in the same labels possibly trained together and ended up in separate groups etc

tori

I heard that at Lollapalooza Hobi is performing 16 to 17 songs because he is the headliner for Sunday show. So, I know he's nervous and I'm nervous for him.

Rebecca Kelly

I don't think you will ever see any other artists from major labels in Korea Step foot in hybe, let alone it be videotaped for the world to see. That Will cause some drama In Korea. You know all the record label companies over there don't mess with big hit like that. The other artist that was there, you know, they've been friends. So of course, they're going to come but all the other celebrities. From Korea, no. And to top it off, if other artists from the Big Three Company was a step foot in big hit, The news outlets over there in Korea would have blown it way out of proportion and they probably would have accused big hit or trying to take the artist. They don't mess with big hi like that. It's sad.

Rebecca Kelly

Yeah that could be it Daisy! I can totally relate!

ada

I think he just doesn't feel comfortable in a party setting where you are kind of forced to mingle with everyone as opposed to more of a little group/one on one setting.

Vmin95

Another great conversation - thank y'all so much. ๐Ÿ’œ You know, the question you all discussed about whether or not the guys have been to a lot of parties is a really important one. I don't think they've partied much at all. And what I had to remember is that for years they were treated so badly - even by their peers. Not everyone of course, but these monster rookies, that came out of nowhere and started steadily climbing - even before they exploded globally - were seen as quite the threat. I firmly believe that the "break" will offer them the necessary opportunity to have these kinds of "normal" experiences. I want them to be able to go to a party with other artists. I want them to be able to go to a club and have fun if they want. And I want them to be able to go on a date without the worry that the fandom will have a meltdown. ๐Ÿ˜‘ That last wish is a tall order I know, but, Bangtan may just be the group to finally be able to break this (in my opinion) very unhealthy "norm" for Idols. There has been so much pressure on all the guys for so many reasons - they have such a spotless reputation for the most part, and I know there is always someone out there ready and willing to try to take them down. But they are grown men. And they want to be able to live their lives and do grown men things. And as several others have mentioned, there were a lot of photos and video clips floating around the day after the party from the other guests. Bangtan interacted with a lot of people, but as Nick said, they were not there to have any spotlight on them as individuals. They were all there to support Hobi and to make sure the light was always shining on him. They are such a model case of true brotherhood and a very healthy family dynamic.

THIS AND THE LIVE PERFORMANCE

sabah

Everyone seemed pretty social besides jin and jungkook tbh

Faith Lasty

And wait not Lo saying Jin going home to his wife and kids, lmaoo ๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Madison

Agreed because in the pictures each member was definitely all over the place lol.

Tay Tay

Youโ€™ll have the watch his and IUโ€™s interview as well as his and Zicoโ€™s interview! Both really good!

Tay Tay

In this vid it seemed like they weren't interacting with others too much, but I think it's because they chose to shows us scenes where it was just them... I'm assuming due to privacy issues concerning the others. Although, I have a feeling they hung out with each other more than anything lol. JK was so stinking cute just observing and literally laying on the floor๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿ˜ญ These guys are superstars yet seem so relatable. According to Jessie, Hobi was an amazing host๐Ÿ’œI love how happy Bibi was to be there and get her pic with Namjoon. Personally, I used to be pretty extroverted and loved being in a crowd, but over the last 2 yrs there's been an obvious shift. I now love staying home, sometimes even telling my fam and friends not to call or text me over the weekend๐Ÿ™ƒI literally do nothing but enjoy my own company, watch a good movie, eat my fav snacks, go get a pedi....the old me could never. I don't mind being in a crowd, I still like people ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚ but I'd rather it be at someone's house. Crazy how things change.

Jenn Diaz

Jungkook is so cute! He said that he was one of the members to fully listen to hobiโ€™s album before it came out. When finished listening to it he said it got him fired up and inspired and he immediately went to the booth to start recording for his own album. Thatโ€™s what I love about BTSโ€™s relationship with each other, not only do they support and love each other for their own solo projects it also motivates them to put out work that is just as great as their brothers

โŸญโŸฌ Maddie KateโŸฌโŸญ โท

Jin had me weak! ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚he really be over ppl lmaooo and I hella relate! ๐Ÿ˜‚but omg can yโ€™all react to j hope performing equal sign wit IU? Itโ€™s like 2 mins long but itโ€™s ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ๐Ÿ”ฅ

Photos of the members with different celebrities were posted online, hoping that they got to warm up to the situation and enjoy the evening somehow. Even Jessi posted on IG she related to Jimin & RM the most haha. She said Jimin was the sweetest ๐Ÿ˜† i totally relate to them but was surprised a bit by Jin as in BV for example he was so sociable saying hi to everyone and talking to strangers. But it seems they are just like us with celebrities ๐Ÿ˜† even though they are the biggest celebrities that evening. But no matter what I love how they showed up to support Hobi! โ™ฅ๏ธ๐Ÿ’œ

Please react to ATEEZ-Guerrilla๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

The relationship between these 7 men is amazing. They always support each other no matter what and they never steal each other spotlight and I love that about them. Always enjoy the content yโ€™all post๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

Morgan Williams

Nice reaction ๐Ÿ’œ

Aishah Isiaka

Not the 1st to bounce tho lol

Redemption 46 Studios

I'm definitely Jin/JK. I will either be the first to bounce or sit quietly in the corner and observe.

thatarmymom

Nah same, covid just killed some of the fun of it for some reason. Maybe just got used to living more chill and doing other things for fun.

Can yโ€™all react to Jackson wang new song that came out called โ€œcruelโ€

Janell

Yes!!! The celeb talk blew my mind....YOU ARE BTS!!!!!

Katheryn Gales

4/5 times a week would def get old quick lolโ€ฆ plus quarantine bodied a lot of my clubbing interest ๐Ÿ˜ฎโ€๐Ÿ’จ

Lo R46

BTS members are so endearing when you watch videos like this. I believe a lot of ARMYs can relate to the way they are when they interact with other people. They further prove how humble and down-to-earth they are.

I'm exactly like Jin, Jimin, and JK at a party. I'm just so awkward and socially anxious... I wish I was more outgoing... but... ๐Ÿ˜ญ

sabah

Depends which ones you go to really but usually a fair bit of grime and drill or remixes of popular songs. A lot of clubs have different rooms for different music so like one room for like hiphop/grime/r&b, the main room for like hype music and then a room for like old bangers like ABBA and shit ๐Ÿ˜‚

Georgina Milner

No Lo was right there was way more K-hiphop & R&B artists there than anything else the only idols that were there was the members themselves ๐Ÿ˜ญ

REECE

What kinda music do UK clubs play? ๐Ÿ‘€

Redemption 46 Studios

Iโ€™m only 22 but already getting tired of clubbing ๐Ÿ˜‚ i feel like club cultures a lil different in the UK, especially when your at Uni and its Constant, where your going out like 4/5 times a week ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜ญ. I feel like now i can go out like once a week but by about 1/2 am in ready to head back and smoke a zoot instead ๐Ÿ˜‚

Georgina Milner

Smaller settings are definitely a better vibe nowadays for a ton of reasons

Redemption 46 Studios

Honestly, I'm very introverted and struggle with social anxiety, so when I was in college I tried going to a few parties here and there, but I realized it just was not my vibe. So I'm kind of like Jin in a way. I'd rather be in a smaller setting with just my friends. I'm 22 so I still have to experience more, but I think smaller settings are more of my vibe.

jas

Right lol

Redemption 46 Studios

They truly are so humble, there's been so many instances of them saying they're not celebs and things like that. Like I wanna yell "JIN YOU ARE *THE* CELEB"
