I don't remember SM promoting that too well though, which might be why I don't remember it.. I could have overlooked it. I also don't remember many talking about it. Of course, that might be because I've never been heavy into NCT. So that just could be me lol. Thanks for sharing this though, and it's interesting to think about- This might be something Min Hee Jin wanted to utilize more, and now being with HYBE, she's got the chance to try it again.

2022-07-29 15:40:10 +0000 UTCHYBE knows what they're doing, and in that same venture- Min Hee-Jin has put together a very fresh feeling girl group. A lot of people are tired of the same girl group 'sounds' and concepts. So far, New Jeans really seems to have a far more relatable concept than most other girl groups. Their sound is also very wide range, like Keith said- anyone can listen to it, it's going to pull in people who are older who like that vibe. I did want to say again that I'm glad that so far- 2 of the girls- Hanni and Danielle have writing credits on all 4 of their songs so far. Hanni helped write this one. It's good that they're teaching these girls to write more, to get involved. HYBE seems to really bank on that philosophy that the music should come from the artists. So it's always good to see whenever a new group under HYBE comes along- that they're holding to that and making sure their artists are creatively involved, and for the younger groups- learning to be efficiently involved. Also, they have an app, you can only use the app if you have a weverse account, you can see their chats to one another, they post things. However you cannot interact with them but that's most likely because they're all underage and it could go bad real fast if people are allowed to post or comment on their stuff. I think the idea is very interesting, since the girls are sharing their daily schedules, things they're eating, watching. Just basic stuff, plus their chats with each other, that interaction and seeing how their friendship is. It's just not something anyone else has done yet, but it's part of their whole concept, which is definitely refreshing from what we've been getting. Lessarafim(another group you guys should check out), held the record for best debut girl group, it's so far being beaten by NewJeans who technically hasn't even debuted yet. So yeah.. I expect the girl group from I-Land 2 also to do well, if not break NewJeans's record. Thanks for the content drop💜💜

2022-07-29 14:57:29 +0000 UTCI would say this - Hybe has been very strategic with the groups acquired under their label. They literally have powerhouses from each sub label. At this point, they are the legitimate avengers of kpop. These girls are definitely on the right path, I hope they stay on it and not become like every other girl group out there. I don't follow the girl groups in kpop based on the ones I've checked out but these girls have my attention for sure!
