It's awesome to watch videos of people hyped to watch and listen to the same group. But I'm here for honest opinions.. Since 2020, I've been watching a lot of reactors. and I mean a LOT but I've stopped watching a lot of them too because their fake enthusiasm was getting more apparent. And it seems obvious, especially when they don't take the time and effort to react to the different aspects of the music or performance. I appreciate you all for reacting to the lyrics, the mv, production, choreos, backdrops - all these elements. Also, sometimes I watch reaction videos not because I wanted to see you guys liking the song or enjoying the song but because I'm genuinely interested to know if you guys have the same reaction as I do about a certain type of music or performance that I don't vibe with. And that means, may it be a negative reaction or a positive one. May be because I wanted to expand my knowledge or understanding on a certain type of music. Like, I feel not so alone anymore. I feel like I'm in this community talking about music and being open to ideas and sharing ideas. It's just beautiful when you have a community that's open to different perspectives. And that's why I probably enjoy your channel, because yall have a large team with individuals having different opinions and yall are being respectful of each other. It's dope. As others have said, I appreciate so much the honesty and clarity you all bring. I have stopped watching soooo many other reactors because I could no longer take the "performative" aspects of what I was seeing. It wasn't genuine and it was so apparent. With the Redemption panel I know I'm going to get honest, frank, candid, direct opinions. I may not agree. But I appreciate the perspective you bring. And I always learn something. I also appreciate that you allow the Redeemers to share our perspectives as well. I believe the relationship we've all built with each other is a model for the larger society. I'd be sad that you don't like it, but I don't like every song that a lot of artist put out (or artist that you all have mentioned here and there lol), and that's ok! I listen to heavy metal it might not be for you and it won't make me love y'all any less. I rather you be real with us and tell us if you love something or not. I don't get mad 🤣 some songs don't work for me too but that's just the BTS power there is always something for everyone. I agreed on your yet to come reaction because it is nostalgic but even for me felt like a goodbye which it was,I just didn't know at the moment. As for BTS we don't regard them as underdogs anymore even though they get lots of hate from the media especially in SK they never report all the good stuff but jump over eachother to report anything bad going on, so we are still protective. I would say they started getting noticed in SK after their first American win in 2017 AMA's even though spring day is big there but locals mostly are proud of their achievements because ther representatives of their country atleast that's what I gathered idk. You have quality content so please keep going I love when nick gets so excited and starts doing the little shoulder dance lol all your insights are great and just your experiences make it greater because I learn alot from those. So, some will say 2015, when they won their first music show award was when they lost it and broke out into SK.... but it wasn't. They were fought against for that win and even before that. No one cared when they got the rookie award in 2013... but that was because none of the bigger groups were rookies so they didn't qualify for that award. Some will say 2016 when they finally got a big award, a daesang- that was when they were truly recognized and no longer had the 'underdog' label on them.... but that was the year over 12 fandoms united and tried to get a blue house petition passed to get BTS disbanded and the award show to hold accountability for their 'very clear mistake' when they gave the award to BTS. 2015... 2016... No one outside of fandoms and those who listened to Kpop in SK gave two shits about BTS. The general public didn't and most still don't exactly listen to Kpop. Idol music is what SK refers to it as, and most of people don't listen to Idol music. In their minds it's geared towards young pre-teens or teenagers... Kids/children. It's not for the adults. Enter 2017. BTS goes to Billboard and AMA's and gets recognition from America because of.. not just American fans- It was international fans in general who pushed and pushed and requested BTS be part of the events, that they be nominated... International fans do the most on social media and that is what took them to Billboard and got them the top social award. THAT is when SK took notice, Now... SK also noticed.. because in 2017 BTS dropped Spring day- Maybe... maybe BTS was a little different from Idol music. The fact that Spring day is still on the charts today- The fact that my Uncle listens to it on his way to work now and then, the fact that there's a lot of Korean Youtubers who have interviewed the general korean public about spring day and many older men and women alike all appreciate and love the song... THAT, to me and to a lot of K-ARMYs is when we knew BTS were shedding that underdog title. South Korea became proud, and it was just the start- 2018 it continued. Now, don't get me wrong- K- media still gave and still gives BTS a hard time. Even music shows.. The difference now of course, and since 2017 is that their fandom- ARMY is way too big and too loud especially at this point for others to ignore. Even the stingy bastards in K-Media. To me... it was 2017. Not being an underdog doesn't mean you can't still be slighted. At least that's how I see it- it just means they can compete with the big boys.... in this case the big3... and they have dominated them. Yes, I said it, and so have most korean outlets as well. The big 3 are not refered to as the big 3 as much anymore. HYBE, formerly BigHit Entertainment is now bigger than all 3 big 3 combined, that says something. That's not an underdog of SK, that's a driving force and that's exactly what I and other ARMYs know they are. When YG puts out an article that's real close to being a fucking love letter to BTS. Not even once... but twice when HYBE announced it was going public. YG magazine put out a whole ass article about how beneficial it was to ALL of Korea's music and entertainment industry it was going to be as more eyes and investors would be looking not just HYBE's way, but also at who's in the same realm. YG, who now has a partnership deal currently with HYBE, to not just have certain YG artists on Weverse and have their merch in the weverse shop, but also to be included in some things in the future too. We don't know what those are yet- but we'll see in the future I'm sure. Point really, since I side tracked again is that- I think in SK, they have not been underdogs since 2017, when SK finally opened their eyes and saw BTS for BTS, and sure... not everyone in the general public likes the music of BTS- What the general SK public mostly sees is what BTS is doing for Korea- Spreading their culture to the rest of the word- THAT is what makes the locals happy and proud. Also, wanted to add about what I think of you guys keeping it real- If I wanted to watch 4-5 guys on a sofa with shitty mics over-react or just not react and then upload the same video on 4 different YT channels, I'd be watching them... If I wanted an over-reaction, where people are super Hype over every. single. song. they. react. to..... I'd go watch those idiot reactors that do that shit. I like watching reactors who are genuinely curious about the music and people behind the music- even if they don't 100% love the music. I rather have someone be honest, explain what isn't hitting for them in the song, than just have someone go jumping around their room or some shit and screaming when the song is only 3 seconds in. I like that you guys react honestly, and even if a song isn't hitting it for you, you're respectful about it. You explain what isn't doing it for you but you still give props to the work behind it and the people who made it. And THAT, is one of the things that keeps me watching you guys. Then there's the conversations and your genuine desire to learn. I've already gone on about how much I love that I don't feel like a moron for writing this long ass essays. I love you guys for reading these comments, and not just mine- others too. It's great seeing that and feeling we're having a discussion. It's one of my other favorite bits. Also people that get frustrated with reactor's opinions always baffle me because the whole point of watching a reaction is to get your opinions, like you said as long as it's respectful then it's okay to not like something or hoping it would have gone a different direction. Fair enough on youtube you're going to get a lot of people who haven't subscribed and are just looking for BTS videos, but here on Patreon you guys know we're here for more than BTS, we're here for you guys too. Of course it's nice to hear you love a song or performance as much as I or everyone else did but I'd rather honesty over anything else. Plus people have to remember it's your first listen, so a song you might not be feeling could grow on you but if not then that is okay too. He did it very professionally and fixed his mic pack inbetween dancing and the fact no one noticed it just goes to show his crazy professionalism cause that was smooth smooth
