About the thing where you said you were surprised about Jimin not crying, he's not as sensitive as you guys might think he is, really (at least to me) the true only "sensetive" one is Jungkook (and Kook is sensitive in all aspects, he's sensitive to smell, the hyungs always make sure they smell good or that they don't put anything too strong for Jk's sake and JK always wears perfume and uses baby oil ๐Ÿ˜ญ and he's also sensitive to brightness, and he's allergic to certain flowers, and he cries easily... So yeah he's really sensitive) also! Fun fact the members actually said off camera Jimin is the most adult-like

I can not imagine the pressure they went through that year when the idea of disband cross their minds...when your mind is on that state the stress mus be too much to handle... I remember when I saw the guys stood up and walked to the main stage to received the award and I realized that J-Hope was already on a emotional state and I actually thought that he wants to cry and that is exactly what happenned but that is what those 7 genius deserved and more, I can watch this video 100 times and 100 times I will cry,..btw guys there is a Bangtan Bomb of the guys on that award show and it was showed their performances, awards they won and was showed V that was totally overwhelned by his emotions...he is the one that cried the most from all the members, thanks for the reaction!

This was definitely one of the moments that solidified my love and appreciation for them as artists and as people. I was still a fairly new fan around this time since I found them in November of 2017. I remember crying with them when it was first released because I had never expected them to reveal themselves as so vulnerable in a moment during an award show. I still get a little emotional when I see this speech, but I'm happier they stuck through it and are there for each other. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ˜Š

This one always gets to me. 2018 was filled with so much content and amazing moments that BTS gave up. The events in 2018 are not what sparked their sit down though at the beginning of the year where they considered disbandment. 2017 was still weighing on them, first group to break into the American market and see success but also with that came a multitude of things- Media either not giving two fucks about who they were, media trying to rip them apart, or media crowding them like they were there for the media's entertainment only. Combine that with the very obvious cluelessness of the people who wanted to talk trash about them being at the billboard awards in 2017, and the AMA's.... then on top of that, add in their personal things they were each going through, the fact they were feeling the preasure of it... so when early 2018 hit they finally broke and sat down for a long talk. The members never delved into everything, just that it was a lot that had been building, some stuff had been built up for years, other stuff didn't really pile on till 2017. But they cleared it up, they got together and worked through it. They continued on with 2018, worked hard, seemed a bit happier but something else seemed to be weighing on them too. Around September though it was noticeable that the members seemed a bit more emotional, more affectionate towards one another and they were in better spirits than they had been. October 2018 came and we learned around the 16th or 18th... somewhere in there, that earlier in the month BTS sat down with BigHit and renewed their contracts. BigHit gave an official statement while BTS chose to let ARMY know they where re-signing for us, because they want to be with us and each other for as long as they can. Now, we don't know exactly what was in their contracts, we know that money was not their priority. We know that BigHit made a promise to support them like they have been from the start, but also support their want to have more time to themselves. And BTS did get the extended vacation BigHit agreed to. Some were making fun of BTS for spilling their emotions on the stage like they did, but as most ARMYs noticed- they were not expecting the awards they got that night, they busted their asses to perform, they were tired and they've said before that they get emotional at those times. Add in that they were not expecting to win nearly as much as they did- and it hit them in the feels. Hobi couldn't hold himself back, that kicked off JK's instant crying- JK has said for years now that he only suffers when his Hyung's are suffering. He usually does start to cry immediately after one of the others start to cry... this time it was Hobi. Namjoon was trying to contain himself too, Jimin tried to laugh it off instead, which seemed to work... Jin admitting openly though... without the others knowing what he was going to say, that they considered disbandment at the beginning of the year, but managed to work it out.... ARMY were shocked and many instantly cried. Tae lost it when Jin mentioned that moment in their life, in their career... which is understandable. Tae was also crying backstage, and it was difficult for him to get through the interviews at the event. They were all sensitive and so bringing that up just made most of them get in their feels and cry. The fact they got the AOTY award on top of everything else only fueled the emotions. To this day we still don't know exactly what happened, we might never know. They only talked about the pressures and personal hardships some of them were going through. I think it's fine for us not to know the exact- We know they'd been through a lot and so it's easy to understand why they might have wondered if it was all still worth it for each of them. I for one am glad they pulled through. They're family above all else and they're a lot happier now for the changes they've made. I'm also grateful HYBE is still standing with them and with their choices. And actually talks to them about things instead of making demands and being ridiculously strict. Anyway, thank you guys for reacting to this. Still makes me shed tears but I'm so glad they had re-signed and I can't wait for this new chapter to really kick off once Hobi drops that album soon. Thanks for the content๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

ARMYnotArmy

I think sometimes those who found out about BTS during the height of their success i.e the last two years can sometimes find it difficult to understand why ARMY are how they are what's the big deal if they get hate, they are huge. The barriers they were breaking and the success they were having takes a huge toll because as they said they had no one to help them navigate when you're doing something first. No guide book, rolling with the punches while trying to keep sane and enjoy. BTS, their sincerity, their love of their art, them always being open and honest (I.e recent festa) it's part of their charm and beauty and their journey has been Hella rough, they weren't always just sitting pretty. Every award recieved/ barrier broken came with a ton of hate and backlash and ARMY literally have been grinding and going through this with them and sometimes it's hard to explain without the full context of their journey. They just see they are most popular now, what's a little hate? SMH. The Bangtan boys are truly something special.

To answer to your request i think festa 2018 gives a wider view about their thoughs of the time. They don't talk openly about disbandment but is there all over the dinner they were having very hard time

laura zane

Namjoon and Jungkook actually accepted the award before this one which was "Album of the Year" another daesang. But i also do think RM wanted the other members to have a chance to speak as well, all 5 of them clearly had alot to say ๐Ÿ˜ข

Man I had to comment, this always gets me. Thank you for the reaction. 2018 was such a difficult year for them. Since they started to really get big in the US, the pressure was huge and their schedule was hectic. Suga said that he cried after their debut performance in the US at the AMAs in late 2017, because he was scared and overwhelmed. He said that no one was able to break out in the western market before them so they had no idea what they would get into. They thought they pretty much reached their peak around 2016 when they won daesangs. They were in their 5th year and V said that from what people told them, this is around the time that you burn out or get injured. They made the LY: Tear album (a masterpiece to me), around that time which is why the album is pretty dark, as they said they were in a pretty bad place while producing the album. Suga wrote Outro: Tear which is about parting and they all cried at the first listen. Once you know what they've been through in 2018, a lot of content and music they released at that time makes so much more sense. They were all struggling but they chose to stay together. No one really knew they were going through such a hard time. Jin said years later that he got scolded because of sharing this info lol. Which shows that what they said in the speech was unexpected but very real and honest. When Jin and Hobi cry, it hits hard ๐Ÿ˜ข I think Namjoon was holding back his tears so he couldn't speak and wanted to let the members have their moment. There were other speechs for other awards that they won the same night and RM had spoken a lot already. As for Jimin, he said that the hardest thing for him was to see his members struggling, so when the boys cry or have a hard time, he tends to keep things together to support the members, but you can see he cried at the end of the speech in the background. Tae and Hobi were still in tears backstage afterwards. The members reflected on their desire for disbandment in 2018 and they did had a few discussions about that in the docu-series and the recent interview You Quiz On The Block that I recommend y'all. In Jimin's vlog you can hear him talk on their struggles at that time, it was filmed back in 2018 but only got posted a year after. Also in Festa 2018 you'll hear about their thoughts. Suga and J-Hope shared that there were too many stressful and unexpected events happening that they wondered if continuing as BTS would be worth it or not. The group renewed its contract for another seven years in 2018 (you heard of the 7 years curse, most of kpop groups disband before). I'm glad they stayed together. They managed to overcome their struggles together and create even more great music. Also their bond is so strong and I think it's the reason why they could keep going. I have so much respect for them and I truly want them to be happy. No has done it like them.

sooooo im gonna cry again ๐Ÿ˜ญ i hope yall are doing the Mama perfomance they did that night, its one of my favorites. Once again bts made it their own concert

laura

I'm sure they said none of them knew Jin would speak of what he did. I think it shook them all a bit someone actually saying it aloud. Its so emotional rewatching no matter how many times you do and I'm only a little bit of the way in but just wanted to say, Nick, hope your family stuff gets easier. Take care.

no mama reaction?

This is always difficult to watch for me cuz it takes me back to that day and how sad everyone was ๐Ÿ˜” Honestly even though we knew they were having a difficult time that year for various reasons (they were on a world tour with members getting injured and doing an insane amount of promo for Tear and Answer and the controversy with Jimin and the shirt which was awful), hearing Jin say out loud that they were thinking of disbandment earlier that year was still a reality check! Their fame sky rocketed from 2017 onwards and even as a fan it was hard to keep up with everything so I can't even imagine how difficult and draining it was for them. I genuinely cried that day because you could tell it wasn't easy for them to share that and so publicly as well. That's why I was really glad when they started incorporating more time off (a month off in Summer 2019) and fewer tour dates but in bigger venues (2018 LY tour dates in LA were 4 dates at the staples center vs 2019 Speak Yourself with 2 dates at the Rosebowl). I think that's when they realised how big they really are and that they don't have to work themselves to the bone like they were doing in 2018 and before (don't get me wrong they still work A LOT lol). I'm glad they were able to figure things out between themselves and that they chose to continue with this career rather than feeling like they had to. As long as they're happy and want to continue on this path, I'll walk alongside them and support them. Thanks for the great reactions as always. Hope all of you are doing good and that your recovering well Nick ๐Ÿ’œ
