Tae and Jungkook alternate, both of them are the most popular members in the group within the last year as in 2022-23 Jungkook has been the most biased member of BTS. Also, out of all the members Jungkook is the most popular internationally. And I also read an article and it stated that Jungkook is the most well-known member to Locals (Aka people who don't know who BTS is) He is always trending on Twitter so it makes Locals search him up all the time, his name is mentined a lot in American Television some few examples would be Disney's Bunk'd, How I met your Mother, Simpsons etc. He was also the most streamed soloist of last year with only 3 songs, and was also the most searched Idol in the top 5 biggest social media outlets. He also has the highest individual hashtag for any artists in history on TikTok. Also, with his recent brand deal with Calvin Klein, Jungkook became the biggest and highest and best selling brand ambassador out of all the members + Also became the highest selling and biggest campaign Calvin Klein ever did, and within the first month of 2023 Jungkook had already set over 50 different records. So basically what I'm trying to say is that at least for now I think it's safe to say Jk is the most popular/biased (As of right now, like I said him and Tae alternate a lot)

No I’ve been an Army for a few years and I gravitated to him because it was organic but also I loved his personality in the run bts and all the behind the scenes. I just think it’s kind of a bummer to say if you like Jungkook you need to be more original, when in reality V is the most biased

I remember when JK was all that people spoke about he was everyone's bias, and if you read fanfic( I was 15 don't judge me lol) everyone that was about BTS was either JK or if you were black like me RM. He was the talk of the town, total package, while other members like Hobi we're being bashed because they weren't "idol material" in my eyes JK was being praised for anything that he did while other members were doing the same thing fell on deaf ears and blind eyes. He is talented beyond measure and worked just as hard as everyone in the group it created a weird coping in me to downplay his accomplishments as a way to combat the praise of others like he had any control over it he was a freaking kid like me. As I've gotten older I have had to reevaluate and look in words on that.

I think part of that is because (and I’m paraphrasing from interviews) he’s said that he is a combination of all the members since they essentially raised him. Namjoon first attracted me to BTS, and Jimin was my bias wrecker. Then Jin became my bias wrecker. Then Suga. They all offer something different and contribute to the group in special ways. I was expanding on Redemption's conversation about how they feel JK is the "obvious" choice for picking favorites. The jist is that sometimes people like to be a little contrarian and [sometimes] subconsciously favor the underdogs or less popular things. Also, I’m not saying JK is bland himself. I’m saying that to some people, just having him as a bias is bland or boring. The choice itself may be bland or boring. Like with music. There’s “mainstream” music and non-mainstream music. Most people like mainstream music- that’s why it’s mainstream, but a lot of people perfer non-mainstream music. The non-mainstream listeners probably genuinely like the non-mainstream music, but part of why they like the music may also be BECAUSE it’s not as popular. They like songs that are unknown or less popular. That’s the point Redemption is trying to make when they talk about how they feel that JK is the “obvious” bias choice- they love JK but they tend to favor the less obvious choices. Everyone's a little hipster-ish on certain things, and in this case, it’s with BTS biases. They like having more hipster-y picks and there’s no rationale behind it. It’s just like that sometimes. Edit: Everyone knows that sometimes you just vibe with an idol and that’s why they’re your favorite. This conversation is just going into the idea of rooting for less popular things just for the sake of it. This conversation/take is more in a vacuum. There’s obviously a lot of factors at play when having biases.

I would say right now my biases are Jin and Jimin. Last month it was Jin and Namjoon 😂. Each member is amazing honestly. I think some people get “bias” confused with “solos.” Especially on social media. It’s completely fine to have a bias. Solos are the fans who ONLY like that particular member to the point that they actively try to sabotage BTS comebacks or other members’ solo releases. It can get insane. Thank you for the video! He is so great that even if he does ridiculously amazing stuff people will brush it off as like o that’s just Jungkook doing the usual. He is always expected to be great and that’s what jungkook feels too which in return is a lot of pressure for him. Jungkook has talked about the golden maknae title and how much pressure it brings him cause people have this image of him being perfect while jk himself doesn’t feel like he is perfect at all so works himself to literal death to achieve that. There have been many years where he didn’t feel sure where he didn’t feel good about his singing and that all has to do with the pressure he is under and people having ridiculously expectations. Even to this day he could do a crazy thing vocally and people would just say oh typical jungkook. Like yes he appears to be perfect, never misses a note, but he works his butt off and drives himself mentally crazy to even achieve all that and that’s what people don’t see. They feel like he is praised enough and doesn’t need praise. He is not allowed to miss a note like what happens to any singer. Just crazy ridiculously standards and I feel bad honestly cause it’s been like this since he was 15

Tae was my first bias, once i could recognize them i just started looking for him first always without knowing why and without even knowing what a 'bias' even was... And i was like 6 months into my army journey when Yoongi started creeping on me so there's really no rule for these things, it's not something you have to think on (and you don't have to have one if no one capturing you more than the others!!)

2022-07-05 20:46:45 +0000 UTCJK is the main vocalist for a reason. And he's one of 7 reasons why I can't seem to have a bias lol. JK is consistently praised for his steady vocals and his vocal ability. Namjoon named him 'Golden Maknae' because he's so good at it all. I love JK's vocals, I love all of their voices but there are times where JK and Jimin's harmonies are just the best thing ever. Other times it's Tae or Jin's voice that makes a song absolutely perfect. That being said, more often than not, it's JK and Jin's vocals that end up being my favorite vocal parts. JK has always been humble- There is a video of him with Namjoon, BigHit made a bighit christmas song and they had behind the scenes, JK kept doubting if he should be there because the other people on that song were- to him- so much better than he is. Granted, those other vocalists from other BigHit groups did have more experience, but you could tell they all loved JK's vocals even back then.. and he was only 15 at the time. He kind of clung to Namjoon cause he was nervous to be singing with his seniors on that song. I don't blame him for being nervous- Jo Kwon is an amazing vocalist too, and Joohee is crazy talented vocally too, so is Lim Jeong-Hee. That was in 2013, JK was unsure how good he really was. But over the years he's gotten much more confident. However he's also quick to praise the other vocalists in the group- most often it's Jin. Sometimes I wonder if it's because he knows now how horrible some were to Jin when they debuted, or he just wants to shine the light on his eldest brother who he feels deserves just as much praise as him. It's true, honestly to me all 4 deserve the same amount of praise, each one of them vocally offers something different which is why I can't choose like a vocal bias even lol. Someone else mentioned this a bit- JK has in more recent years been criticized and gotten hate for pretty much existing. The reasons are pretty stupid, but even the media in SK has been quick to jump on the hate wagon. It's rediculous to me to hate on any of them, yet since pre-debut starting with rapline... mostly Namjoon and Hobi, and then going to the others as more members were known- It's just dumb to me, all 7 are talented, it's fine to be drawn to one or three... maybe even five of them more than the others. I don't get how some 'fans' harp on others just for having a bias... however, I do understand the dislike towards solo stans. Having a bias doesn't mean you're a solo stan, only liking one member and only appreciating one member is what a solo stan is and those are the people who are irritating to ARMYs. Recently I came across a comment from a JK solo stan who was going on about how glad they were that JK was going solo and that now that he was Solo he'd be more free to be himself and not be held back by the other members and the company. The person also said they were looking forward to seeing better promotion for JK's solo works- which... I don't know if they realize, he's still with HYBE under BigHit Music. I get that some people get mad that BigHit Music and HYBE didn't promote some of the vocal line's solo works... but you have to understand that those solo works were much like rapline's solo works and mixtapes... they're not official. Jimin's Promise was a gift to fans, so was Tae's Winter Bear, JK's Still With You, Jin's Abbys and Tonight.... these were all released for free, these were not songs for promotion. ARMYs promote those things, and the members and BigHit know we do and they know we do a damn good job of it. Before BigHit could really push promotions for BTS- It was ARMYs who promoted them, and we still do. Even though HYBE can afford it and they do a good job promoting things.... come on, they had us watching animated butter melt for like 4-6 hours. I can't remember how long it was but it was ridiculous how many of us sat there and watched the whole damn thing lol. Anyway, the photo shoots, the promotional stuff has gotten a lot better, but they mostly promote when they are BTS. Now that these solo albums are official though, we already are seeing promotion for Hobi, HYBE doesn't have to make a cool cube package with photos for Hobi, but they are. They didn't have to do concept photos for him... but they did it cause this is official. Their past solo works that were not on albums were not considered official, it's just songs they made and wanted to share with ARMYs. I ranted again. But yeah JK deserves to be the main vocalist, all 4 vocalists are crazy talented and each one makes BTS's vocals that much stronger. JK will always be the golden Maknae though, like Namjoon said he was. Thanks for the content drop as always. You know I can't wait for the others, but I will lol. 💜💜💜

2022-07-05 20:08:51 +0000 UTCJungkook has said multiple times that sometimes the nickname "Golden Maknae" is a lot of pressure on him because he thinks he has to excel at every little thing, because if he doesn't he feels like he has failed ARMY, I don't know about you guys but I personally hate being called perfect, because it brings a lot anxiety and expectation on my shoulders that I shouldn't have to handle by myself. Yeah Jungkook has actually said that he doesn't like being called Perfect, and I can totally relate to him because even though it might not seem like a bad thing to call someone Perfect, trust me when I say that at least for me and for Jungkook, somtimes being called perfect is one of the most Confident downers, even though it may not seem like it, being called perfect isn't actaully that good of a compliment, you should react to Jungkooks song called "Declamonia" where he talks about that issue

2022-07-05 19:08:12 +0000 UTCI’m at V bias but jk and jimin always seems to wreck me, when I got into bts, jk attracted me first visually, vocally and dance skills wise because he’s the center, DNA era. Then I recognised V in the drama Hwarang and I always thought he was cute but didn’t know of bts at that time and then went down the rabbit hole and fell in love with ot7. Tae got me tho since I knew him from his acting and all the interviews, I got to know his personality and how similar it was to mine. I saw somewhere that people tend to be fans of people similar to them personality wise or how they view the world. Tae gives me the vibe of staying true to who you are and being happy which I love about him and I’m all for all ot7 for sharing their experiences and wisdom with all of us. Jk will always wreak me tho, I’m looking forward to his solo work the most. He’s too talented and they all deserve to walk on their own paths and come together at the end. Smart, great artist and leader. BUT Jungkookie won me over during Rookie King ep. 3, Self praise song. He tapped in on his confidence during his song. Completely different than the shy baby bunny we were used to. Yes, he is “perfect” but he worked/working his a$$ off. He is a great student and is so humbling it use to make me mad bc he didn’t brag about how perfect he was. Even til this day, he always promises us he will work harder to do better. And another thing, after all the bs about their “hiatus” HE was the one to do damage control to clear up the confusion. His passion, discipline and humility is why he is my bias. Also, #teamVirgo. Jhope is my bias wrecker bc he is the Golden Hyung and his swagger is incomparable. 💜

Someone could essentially be a 10/10, and everyone acknowledges this person is extremely attractive, yet you're not particularly attracted to them even though there's nothing physically wrong with them. They're basically so attractive that they end up being boring/bland to a lot of people. I think this is kind of the point you're trying to make. JK is so talented that he actually ends up coming across as bland to some people. It's like it's not fun to have JK as your bias- it's not interesting. I say this as someone whose bias is JK (Jimin was my first bias and forever my bias-wrecker).
