“Na” also sounds like the beginning of the word for “me” in Korean, so the title/chorus is kind of a pun for like a cute thing to sing and to say “me me me”. Like the lyrics being “sit next to me me me, the one who makes you laugh, me me me” etc. also the leader JayB (along with producing partners RoyalDive and iHWAK) wrote this song and they’re known for a more lo-fi vibey sound. They have a producing group called Øffshore that is a vibe for sure but only if you’re into that more laid back trip hop / RnB sound. I consider this song to be sister to the Got7 songs Teenager and Page which is considered the quintessential Got7 sound.

2022-05-31 17:55:09 +0000 UTCThis is GOT7's first official comeback since they left JYP in Jan 2021 (they did release a song right after it happened, kind of a promise to the fans that things weren't the end, but this is the first comeback). They also just recently acquired the full rights to all of their music and content made as GOT7 from their debut all the way up to leaving the company and going forward, which is pretty much unheard of from groups who try to leave their companies. I think there were only a few other groups who have tried and most were never this successful in reaching this level of agreement. Extremely happy for them! I agree with Zach about not wanting any changes to beat, as I feel like the entire feel and sound of the song is intended to be very chill, relaxed, and comforting. I really liked the way nanana is used in the chorus too, lmao. It really fits the easy, coasting along feel of the song for me. The rest of the album is great as well, titled GOT7 which I think is very fitting as their first EP truly made by and for themselves. Ahgase (the GOT7 fandom) is truly winning right now and I couldn't be happier for the guys!
